I am a lover of Military and Romance - books and movies. I have a lot of respect for our military and those that protect us which makes it that much more exciting reading these romance novels.
The action and tension starts off immediately and grabs your attention. I like that in a story. I want my attention to be caught and kept. I want to be antsy, waiting to listen and that is how this book was for me :)
Lisa Marie Rice writing is great. I like the concept of the book and the characters are great. The underlying love story is my favorite part, which didn't disappoint. With intense situations, I always imagined that this is the way it would be.
Seraphine Valentine does a great job on narration. Her reading has a lot of expression in it. She is a perfect fit for this book. She is very good at what she does.
Hats off to both Lisa Marie Rice and Seraphine Valentine; the writing and narration of this book makes me feel like I am there.
If you enjoy romance and action, you will enjoy this audio book!
Hector met Sadie when working undercover for the DEA. His case involved Sadie's father, a Drug Dealer and bad guy supreme. Hector had his eye on Sadie during his undercover operation but had kept it to himself until it was over.
Hector waited a year for Sadie to come to him but after she was brutally raped, Hector vows to keep her safe and make her his.
This is a heartwarming story of two people falling in love under some tough circumstances and coming through it together in the end.
Again, Kristen dazzled me with this story of two good, deserving people that fall in love and find their way to happiness.
Susannah, as always, you do a kick ass job on narrating!
After nine years, Charma comes back to warn Brand of an upcoming attack. Being together with Brand again Charma is now in the life she always wanted with who she always wanted.
This is the newest book in the Mating Series. If you have not read this series and you love werewolves, you should check this series out. I started reading this series after I got into her New Species series, which is one of my top picks.
I enjoy Laurann Dohner's writing, characters and story lines. I am enjoying this series and look forward to upcoming books.
G.C. VanCoudts narration is great. Her voice is perfect for this series and made the book that much more enjoyable.
The first Rock Chick book is my favorite and this one definitely number 2 (so far - because I am really excited about Ally's book). I love both Stella and Mason's characters. They both come from similar past's and watching them finally come together made a great book.
Kristen introduces us to some new lively characters including Stella's band, to Mace's "Mothers" and Mace's Father. As always, Kristen's writing makes me laugh, want to yell at the characters and cry a little.
Susannah, I can't say enough about your narration!
I enjoyed Ava's character. She was a previously overweight teenager with a low self esteem. Ava has been in love with Luke Stark since she was a young girl. She has the most evil sisters and a Mom that pushed her Dad away when she was just 14 years old. The only one to stand up for her in her life was Luke.
After attending Luke's dad's funeral and overhearing her sister's put her down yet again, she sets a new plan in motion to loose weight. Succeeding in her weight loss, the new Ava still has the old low self esteem of the old Ava and a new hatred for men.
After swearing off men, the new Ava enlisted the help of Luke and Nightengale Investigations for her friend Sissy. Sissy's husband is a total jerk and ends up dragging Ava and Sissy in the middle of it all.
I enjoyed Ava's little war with herself using "Good Ava" and "Bad Ava". I laughed and at times yelled at her to "Wake Up"! As usual, I love the characters that Kristen has created. I continue to enjoy this series and it was fun getting to know these two. There love story was fun and of course at times trying. I had fun getting to know Ava and watch her character grow.
Again, Susannah Jones does a stellar job with the narration.
This series of Rock Chicks is based around Jet and Eddie. Jet is the newest addition to Fortnums and Eddie is a hot, bad ass cop and best friend to Lee.
The characters are a riot! Kristen Ashley writes in a way that has me laughing, smiling and almost in tears through this book. This loveable group of people are extremely entertaining. I love the way she writes, she is very talented.
Susannah Jones narrates in a way that brings this book and characters to life. She is the perfect narrator for this series and really does a wonderful job!
I am anxious to see how the story continues. I really like the character development and additions.
Juliet is a Social Worker to runaway teenagers by day and kick ass vigilante by night. "Jules", better known as "Law", takes to the streets after one of her runaway teenagers dies of a drug overdose. Law is determined to keep her kids safe and complicate the lives of the drug dealers.
Vance, is part of the Nightengale Investigations team. With a dark past, he turned his life around and is now using his skills for the greater good. Law catches his eye and will stop at nothing to protect her.
Kristen branches out and we get to know some new fun and interesting characters. We meet Jules, her "kids", her Uncle Nick and some crazy guys helping her dish out vigilant justice. Jules' character has been through a lot of heartbreak in her life. Needless to say, she makes Vance work for the relationship....but all of the Rock Chicks do don't they!
I was excited to find out more about Vance in this book and even meet his family.
I enjoyed this book and can't say enough how much I enjoy Kristen's writing. Her characters are a riot and she keeps this series fun and refreshing.
Susannah continues to narrate this series magnificently. I never tire of her reading as she brings the pages to life.
In this installment of Rock Chicks, Roxie is a girl on the run from a crazy ex-boyfriend that will not let her go. Roxie visits her Uncle Tex, for the first time, where she meets Detective Hank Nightengale who feels an instant attraction to Roxie. With trouble on her heals, Roxie is in the right place for help.
I like Roxie's character. She has style, a great personality and fits in well with the Rock Chicks. If you have read the previous books, you have had to have fallen for Hank. He is the nice guy Detective with the intensity of the Nightengale blood and of course he is hot! I enjoyed finding out about Hank!
Kristen Ashley takes me on an adventure in each of her books that I have read. I love her writing and is a hell of a story teller.
Susannah Jones continues her narration of this series with style. I will not get tired of her narration in this series. This is fast becoming one of my favorite audio series because of both Kristen and Susannah.
Lara Adrian is a detailed writer which is a must for me. The characters and story is interesting and flows nicely, keeping your interest. Being a "book series" fan anyway, I enjoy getting to know the worth while characters and these are just that.
Hillary Huber does a good job at narrating this book. In my opinion, her voice fits the mood and characters of the book.
Those of you that know me, know I am a dork when it comes to this series. I was excited to get to Donovan's story. I love this character because he is caring, masculine and let's not forget HOT! It is always an action packed ride of romance!
Adam Paul does a wonderful job narrating this series. He brings the characters to life. It would be difficult for me to listen to someone else narrating this series.
I was anxious to read Nick's story after reading the first novel. This book caught and kept my attention.
Lisa Marie Rice is a good writer and this concept of books was interesting and enjoyable. I am a huge Military Romance fan and I enjoyed the twist that she put in this series.
Although this is the second book, it is a stand alone book. I am a stickler to read in series order but that doesn't mean everyone has to be :)
Again, Serephine does a great job narrating. I really enjoy the way that she read this and the last book. She fits the books very well and brings the book to life.
