This book took a couple chapters to get into (mostly getting use to the narrator), but once I did I fell in love. The book is a love story with two characters who have flaws (just like the normal person) and begin to relate to one another. It is poetic because of the religious and poetic insights the author adds and really makes you think about your own thinking on life and another point of view of things. I found it insightful and wanting to expand my reading genres. It is your typical love story though of a man with money with controlling tendencies and a woman with low self-esteem, but the back story of why they are like this is more natural and relatable. I hope everyone views it the same as I do if you can look past the cliches.
This book is good.I read all the way to the end. the performance was great and the accents were great. The story was ok and some parts were a little cheesy. It did keep me wondering what was going to happen and found some parts funny. the beginning is a little slow and there was a point where i was about to put it down, but once i got to the middle it started to get good and the ending was great. I may try the second in the series to give it a shot. Overall the book as good, but not one of my favorites.
I love this series. I found I couldn't put the book down. I love the mystery and romance and love the characters.
I love all of Jeaniene Frosts novels. I am in love. Mystery, seduction, and thrill. I hope she has more coming out soon.
I heard this book was good and so was the movie. I wanted to read the book first before I watch the movie and now I can't wait to see it. I could not put the book down. You can visualize what is being written and the story overall is very interesting. It brings you back to the 60's when the civil rights movement was going on and gives you a perspective of how things were in the little southern towns. It isnt a history book by all means, but gives you a glimpse of it. Great book and a must read!
