  • Still Foolin' 'Em: Where I've Been, Where I'm Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys

Billy Crystal is 65, and he's not happy about it. With his trademark wit and heart, he outlines the absurdities and challenges that come with growing old, from insomnia to memory loss to leaving dinners with half your meal on your shirt. In humorous chapters like ""Buying the Plot"" and ""Nodding Off,"" Crystal not only catalogues his physical gripes, but offers a road map to his 77 million fellow baby boomers who are arriving at this milestone age with him. He also looks back at the most powerful and memorable moments of his long and storied life, from entertaining his relatives as a kid in Long Beach, Long Island, and his years doing stand-up in the Village, up through his legendary stint at Saturday Night Live, When Harry Met Sally, and his long run as host of the Academy Awards. Listeners get a front-row seat to his one-day career with the New York Yankees (he was the first player to ever ""test positive for Maalox""), his love affair with Sophia Loren, and his enduring friendships with several of his idols, including Mickey Mantle and Muhammad Ali. He lends a light touch to more serious topics like religion (""the aging friends I know have turned to the Holy Trinity: Advil, bourbon, and Prozac""); grandparenting; and, of course, dentistry. As wise and poignant as they are funny, Crystal's reflections are an unforgettable look at an extraordinary life well lived.

I have never laughed or cried so much while listening to an audio book. Billy Crystal is at his best, and I enjoyed learning about his life. I love his passion for his family and life. I purchased a hard copy of the book for my father, because I thought that he would enjoy reading this book.

After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

This is a fantastic, entertaining tale! I enjoyed listening to this book immensely! Always live life to its fullest, and don't let the little things bother you! A reminder that I need sometimes! I purchased a hard copy of this book for my father (he doesn't listen to audio books), and purchased an audio copy of this book for a friend. I believe this book is well worth the time!

One of the best-known stories in American culture, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has stirred the imagination of young and old alike for over 100 years. Best Actress nominee Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married, Alice In Wonderland), fresh from filming The Dark Knight Rises, lent her voice to this uniquely American fairy tale.

I must say that I had never read or watched the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I am so glad that I listened to this performance of it! From the moment that Anne Hathaway started speaking, I could picture myself as a child with her mother reading her a wonderful bed time story! Her performance was truly amazing! Everything in the book was alive to me, and I enjoyed listening to it. I am glad that I got to experience this story in the wonderment of childhood, even though, this joy came quite a bit later in life.

They're an iconic part of history's most celebrated birth. But what do we really know about the Three Kings of the Nativity, besides the fact that they followed a star to Bethlehem bearing strange gifts? The Bible has little to say about this enigmatic trio. But leave it to Seth Grahame-Smith, the brilliant and twisted mind behind Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to take a little mystery, bend a little history, and weave an epic tale.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed a completely different idea of creating a back ground story for the three wise men.

Which character – as performed by Peter Berkrot – was your favorite?

This is a hard question to answer. Peter Berkrot does an amazing job with all the different characters voices: men, women, children, and even different accents.

    Any additional comments?

I've listened to this audio book 2 times....once before going to Israel and once just after coming back from a vacation in Israel. It is amazing how much Seth Grahame-Smith captures the terrain of Israel.

When James Bond is asked to settle a dispute over "ungentlemanly behavior" at an exclusive gambling club, the affair is embarrassing in the extreme, for the accused is the unimpeachable Sir Hugo Drax: business tycoon, popular hero, patriot extraordinaire, and head of the multimillion-dollar Moonraker missile program on which Britain's future defense depends.

This book is set up as a weekly course. You are supposed to complete one chapter a week. Each chapter has so much information in it, that each chapter would take me two weeks, because I would listen to it at least two times. I've spent the last 16 weeks studying this book, and I've changed as a person. When I started reading the book, I didn't know what I wanted to change; I just knew that I needed to change a lot. This book has given me the resources to do this! I am very thankful that I found this book! If you are looking to change one habit in your life, or understand how the human mind functions, then I highly recommend this book!
