  • Everything's Eventual: 14 Dark Tales

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 22 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By Becky Ann Baker, John Cullum, Boyd Gaines, and others

The first collection of stories Stephen King has published since Nightmares & Dreamscapes nine years ago, Everything's Eventual includes one O. Henry Prize winner, two other award winners, four stories published by The New Yorker, and "Riding the Bullet", King's original e-book, which attracted over half a million online readers and became the most famous short story of the decade. Intense, eerie, and instantly compelling, they announce the stunningly fertile imagination of perhaps the greatest storyteller of our time.

I bought this audio book because I enjoy listening to Stephen King narrate his work. I've listened to all the novels he has narrated so far, and now I'm on to the short stories, starting with this one. I was not disappointed. LT's Theory of Pets was a live reading, and it was enjoyable, though it was a little strange hearing this live recording sandwiched in between studio performances which had better sound quality. Justin Long was the perfect narrator for Everything's Eventual, which ended up being my favorite tale.

It has been passed down through the ages, highly coveted, hidden, lost, stolen, and bought for vast sums of money. Fragments of this Great Secret have been found in the oral traditions, in literature, in religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. In this audiobook you will discover the Secret, and you will learn how to have, do, or be anything you want.

Uplifting and inspirational. Loved the music and Dr. Quantum, Bob Doyle, Lisa Nichols, Joe Vitale - all of them. Very good.

  • Ascension: The Art of Soul Perfection and the Attainment of Grace

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 17 mins)
    • By Dr. Bruce Goldberg
    • Narrated By Larry Terpening

Ascension guides you to experience the point in which God joins your very essence (soul). The resulting expansion of your awareness allows God through your Higher Self to reveal the ultimate truth and facilitate your reuniting with Him. As with all of Dr. Goldberg's books, dozens of exercises, including yoga, meditation and self-hypnosis, are presented to assist and train the reader to formulate their own program to achieve the most desired goal in the universe-spiritual perfection.

"Play New Age Music For 2 Minutes"

Was the listener expected to actually use the hypnosis exercises read aloud in this piece? If so, it might have been a better, more useful program if the hypnosis exercises included actual music. Instead, the speaker said, "Play new age music for 2 minutes." Or maybe this production was meant to be listened to objectively, so that someone might get an idea of how a hypnosis session might go. If so, then I guess it's an okay audio piece as far as content goes (if you like this kind of subject matter). However, if someone is looking for something to use for therapeutic purposes, find something else. I wasn't sure how to rate this because I wasn't sure what its intended purpose was supposed to be. I myself listened to this while I was working - it was better than silence. Oh, and in case it matters to anyone, 2 minutes of new age music wasn't always called for. Sometimes, it was 3 minutes.
