The character, Tequila, is an unusual hero that I found myself rooting for in every turn of the page. The novel carried the excitement and suspense that I've come to expect from Konrath, and Luke Daniels narrative was exciting and allowed me to easily differentiate the characters voices. As the tag says, it is Revenge served straight up. I have purchased all of the series, and I'm looking forward to listening to them.

In a decrepit and long-empty New York building, a man begins the demolition process by swinging a sledgehammer into a wall. When the dust clears, he finds two skeletons wrapped in plastic behind it. The man is Lieutenant Eve Dallas’s billionaire husband, Roarke, and he summons her immediately. His latest real estate project is going to be on hold for a while, because by the time Eve and her crew are finished searching the premises, there are 12 murders to be solved.

    Story

This story was boring, plain and simple. There was too much mush and not enough grit. The villain was pathetic, and I mean that literally, and the victims were ghosts stories that nobody cared about. I missed the mystery, and excitement of not knowing who was going to be killed next. The dead were already dead, and the murderer was already locked up. I don't know why the author thought this story would be interesting. I like mystery murder books because they tell a story of mystery and murder. This one did not meet my expectations at all. If this had been the first time I listened to a Dallas novel, I would not buy another. Hopefully the next book in the series will redeem the author.

It was my first time reading a David Morrell novel, and I was pleasantly surprised by his action packed love story. The main character, Decker, and all of his supporting characters took me on a roller coaster ride of terrorist bombings, mob assassinations, and unexpected betrayals. The narration was great, and added to the excitement of the story.

Who knew the life of a navy seal team could be so mundane and boring. The story of seal team seven is overly saturated with protocol information, combat jargon, and personality analysis. Unfortunately, very little attention is given to the actual mission the story is suppose to be about. As the story progressed, I felt more and more like I was participating in a social studies class rather than a navy seal adventure. The action was scarce and far between. The dialogue was corny, and read too much like a newsreel. On a positive note, it was informative, and would have been interesting if I'd been looking to read a non-fiction story.

The client is a teen in search for answers about his father’s disappearance and King and Maxwell moved mountains to get them for him. It was an exciting story with surprising twist and unpredictable events. The narrator did an excellent job of giving each character a distinct voice so that it was easy to tell who was speaking. It was a great read.

It was a decent story with interesting characters, but I would have liked it better if Ryan Jr. was more proactive. There was too much attention given to Ryan Sr. His involvement made the reading slow at times. The narration was great but the story wasn't as good as Locked On or Threat Vector.

In this all-new short story from #1 New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci, worlds collide when government assassin Will Robie is caught in the crossfire with Oliver Stone and the Camel Club. Will Robie is closing in on his next target when he finds himself in the middle of a bank heist - and he's taken hostage alongside Oliver Stone. But is this just a simple bank job, or are the robbers after something even more valuable - and dangerous - than the cash in the vault?

The quiet beauty of Longboat Key is shattered when a young groom is shot to death on the beach the day after his wedding. His father is an old army buddy of Matt Royal, and Matt tries to soften the anguish of his friend by finding his son's murderer. Matt's search takes on added complexity when there appears to be a link between this murder and three seemingly unrelated murders that occurred on board a dinner cruise on Sarasota Bay the same day.

This was my first time reading anything from this author. The story line was weak and confusing at times. Some of the character relationships were meaningless to the story, and the ending was anticlimactic. I was bored waiting for the punch line, and when it finally happened, I didn't get it. I hope his other stuff is more interesting.

Former military cop Jack Reacher makes it all the way from snowbound South Dakota to his destination in northeastern Virginia, near Washington, D.C.: the headquarters of his old unit, the 110th MP. The old stone building is the closest thing to a home he ever had. Reacher is there to meet - in person - the new commanding officer, Major Susan Turner, so far just a warm, intriguing voice on the phone. But it isn’t Turner behind the CO’s desk. And Reacher is hit with two pieces of shocking news, one with serious criminal consequences, and one too personal to even think about.

For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.
