I'm not even half way through and I'm wondering if I can finish this book. It's very repetitive. The narrator is the worse ever! Her voice is like some husky, whiney, weird valley girl and is very nearly unbearable. It ruined the whole experience. I am having a hard time getting into the story. I just can't get past the narration.

"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness… He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires."

Hot & Sexy! his story hooked me from the beginning. It was touted as the best competition to 50 Shades- rightfully so. Real life issues make the characters believable and lovable; combined with smokin' hot romance, all served up on a satin covered platter. Most enjoyable.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

I actually read this in Kindle version before I could listen to the audio. The narration is a little hard for me to understand so I struggled to keep up with the story. After actually reading it, I was able to listen easier and enjoy the benefits of audio. Fabulous story- a little wordy, well a lot wordy, but a thoroughly enjoyable read if you have the endurance to finish such a long series. Hope Mr. Martin releases Book 6 soon.

Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing, not even a smear of blood, to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

I could not put this down. Very intense, very consuming. Be careful. You will get hooked!

The whole series is a must read. With the exception of narrators in book 4, I loved every minute of it. I am on my 3rd listen and am not tired of it and eagerly anticipating Book 5.

The story is perfectly written, well timed, flows flawlessly and leaves you constantly holding the edge of your seat and your breath.

This is a must read series! The story is well written, the characters are likable from the start. The narrator is great! What is really great...this is not just another fantasy story. There is enough reference to the familiar to keep you going, but the content keeps turning so you really have to hang on.

    Love it!

Is it Dan Bittner? Not sure, but he is terrible. Way too slow, practically ignores punctuation, and has very little inflection- almost monotone. Makes me want to skip over his parts, but I just can't do that, so I'm suffering through him. Just wanted to give all a head's up.

    The others are great!

With Valentine out of the way, Clary thought she and Jace could finally be together--but when someone starts murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to destroy the new peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, she realizes the past can never be left entirely behind.

    "Great Series!!"
    Overall

I absolutely love these books! They are fantastic. But...please, please, please DO NOT change narrators in a series. That almost ruins the images formed about the characters and makes it really difficult to follow from one book to the next. The narrators in COFA were the worst ever. HORRIFIC!! Ed was barely understandable and I'm quite sure Jace did not have a New Yorker's accent. Molly made no distinction whatsoever between characters-they all sounded like little girls.
5 stars if not for extremely poor narration.
