Not better perhaps but on a par with the book.
I liked Pru and her sexting.
Why are there only three of Kristan's books for sale on audible???!!!
I like the characters and their quirks. The story is very well written and entertaining. The mature content is not graphic, it is more or less glossed over or alluded to. I am fine with that, but I noticed in some of the Amazon reviews that people were unhappy with it. The story carries itself and doesn't need extra embellishment of the NC17 variety.
I liked the factoids that the female lead would throw into conversation when she was nervous. As a fellow collector of trivia it amused me. I consider it a good story when it inspires me to look up things mentioned in the book to get more information.
I hope Audible is able to get the rest of Ms. Reid's books on in their collection. I have them all on kindle now, but I do enjoy the audio versions.
I really enjoyed this story. It has all of the elements I look for and more. There is a strong sense of fun, romance (but only after a relationship develops), suspense, and the x factor. The x-factor is that thing that takes you to another place and gives you enough curiosity to make you go and google things after you are done with the story.
I liked Koti because he was a strong character with a number of defects that were explained and to a certain extent overcome. The growth his character goes through is a great part of the story. Plus he's hot. :-)
This is a strong story both to read and to have read to you. The narrator seems to handle nuances and the new zeland accent well enough that it didn't take me out of the story. However I will confess, I read this book before I ordered the audio book. I am happy to see Audible picking up this author. They didn't have her work available when I first discovered her.
Yes because of all the panty ripping fun!
Did I mention the panty ripping?
She does a good job of convincing you the two main characters can't stand eachother
high on emotion
I like Uncle Mack because he kicks ass.
yes and she is good here too.
Not necessarily but it did have my full attention when I was listening.
I loved the other books in the series but I didn't like Jo in those books so I was surprised when I really got into Jo's story. I even skipped it and listened to the next one in the series before I got his one. I put off getting it but they aren't cooperating with my desire to read Hannah's story RIGHT NOW! So I figured I would give this one a try. To my surprise I really found myself involved. I like the characters. They are flawed and very angst ridden but I enjoyed their journey in this book. It was satisfying to listen to.
I honestly think so. The narrator has a wonderful way with the humor in the story. She managed to narrate her way through a variety of wall banging organisms in a way that made them funny and edgy but not uncomfortable. This was a very funny story but the narration was even better. The best I have heard in a while in fact. I hope they have Heather Smith do more of Alice Clayton's work! Keep the work coming her way she is truly gifted!
Mimi. Loud, tiny, and obsessively organized is one hell of a combination. :-) I also liked the cat Clive.
Probably the one where her friends stop by about when the wall banging starts up next door and they all sit back to listen. I was laughing so hard I almost choked.
It was very funny but I also had a few moments that brought on the angst. Not too much but enough that I knew the author had me by the tail and could make me feel what she wanted too. I laughed alot and actually cried once.
I got a bit frustrated with all of the talk of the "O". by the end I pretty much fast-forwarded through the love scenes because halfway through the good part she would start waxing poetic about her orgasm like it was a woman who was playing hard to get. I kind of wanted to slap the character at that point. There was enough to make up for it, but that particular plot line was overdone. If you can't come then get drunk enough and get a vibrator.... It doesn't merit that much drama.
I liked the writing. I couldn't stand the narrating. The tone, inflection, and emotion was all off. I could have found a better narrator by grabbing the first person I found on the street.
I'll tell them to read the book. It looked like this narrator is lined up for the next one in the series so I won't be bothering with the audio book if that is the case. I'm not particularly picky either.
I liked the balance between the characters' careers. With him being a football player it helped to balance the story by making her a nurse in pediatric oncology.
Yes. It was a fun story with interesting characters and some very entertaining and hot scenes.
Jules. She has gumption... I liked Nate but I thought he should have had more of an edge based on how he was described.
Good overall performance. The narrator has trouble remembering what male voice she used for what character. I am glad they picked up a male narrator later in the series.
Not suitable for children under the age of seventeen. :-)
I liked the characters. They were edgy and still managed to retain that aspect of their character despite the romance.
I like how the author lets the characters somewhat determine what shape their happy ending takes. Often in this kind of book it is always a wedding and 2.5 kids. It was for some of the other books in the series, but these two don't fit that mold and she didn't squeeze them into it. I also like the way she writes a musician. When the story is told from his perspective he notices sounds and nuances that would appeal to a musician and an artist. She doesn't just rewrite the same character over and over but with different hair and career. They really are individuals. I enjoy that.
Yes! Sadly I had to sleep at some point..
Yes! Good story, good writing, good performance. Very steamy! :-)
Not my favorite one in the series but still fun, sexy, and entertaining.
Yes. The narrators did a pretty good job. The girl's fake laugh gets a bit old but I still enjoy listening to her.
Yes. It inspired me to look to see when the next book was coming out.
