Story picked up from the first book but it can stand alone. The writer had you guessing. Bring on book three. Talmadge Ragan brought the story to life; she did an excellent job.
I loved it! I am reminded of the movie "The Sixth Sense". I was at the edge of my seat. Messrs Kaufman and Gigante, you did well!
I was happy to spend those hours with both the author and narrator. I look forward to reading/listening to more gems like this.
Overall I found the book to be entertaining. However, I felt the overuse of obscene language was too much and took away from a very beautiful story. To the author I would say, there are people from every walk of life who enjoy and look forward to reading your books, who enjoy your stories immensely and find your style of writing relaxing; therefore there is no need for all those expletives! Finally, as always the narrator was excellent.
The book continues to soothe, educate and make you laugh. Moreover, the narrator is a natural. Writer and narrator build pinnacle interest.
When you listen to a book, you are supposed to feel or live the events. Further, the narrator is supposed to make your journey as fulfilling as possible. The book was not enjoyable.
I read book one and I was enthralled, I loved it. However, book two seemed that the writer ran out of ideas. The narrator's voice was made for this book; sadly he could not save it.
No touching, no sex but a hell of a listening ride; both the writer and the reader did a remarkable job. Eleni Pappageorge brought Rachel Hauck's book to life. An amazing book. Its a keeper.
Up until the last second of the book, the story was consuming. I stayed stationary until it was finished. Michael Allegretto (Writer) and Caroline Shaffer (Narrator) are now among my favourites.
Sometimes a reader comes along and adds so much passion to a book that you think more about the reader than the writer (narrators: Harry Berkeley, Kaleo Griffith, Dick Hill to name a few). As for the book itself E.C Diskin is a great writer and does a great job. The use of obscenities took away from this creativity.
