The learning that perfection is not a goal in itself, as a one-eyed focus on that will foster a guilt ridden stressful life where you are always focusing on what others think of you and your performance.
No I haven't, but I enjoyed this performance.
My biggest takeaway from this book is that I need to learn to relax and rest in who I am rather than try to be someone else to please. But there are many other insightful things to learn from listening to this audiobook.
The "western style" feel to the story and how Wil expertly brings the characters to life as real people with temperaments and grudges.
Of course! I'd tell them to relax, kick back and dream of a place far far away in the outback part of the galaxy where people still do mining using explosives.
Their interpretation of the human and alien characters. I never would have attributed that way of sounding and speaking to a "fuzzy" had I just read the book.

My job resolves to a large degree around being able to assist my business stakeholders with identifying opportunities and risk and being able to quantify these in business cases. I don't know any that does when it comes to an approach based on mathematics and statistics

It's a book on mathematics and statistics, so feelings are not the focus, but yes it was in general very encouraging to realize that it is actually possible to get a grip on things that seem quite elusive.
The combination of the story and the narrator's portrayal of the different characters made this audio book really enjoyable and as I also bought the whispersync'ed Kindle book it was really easy to get into the book
The depths of the characters and their internal struggles combined with the alien context they were in.
Where the main character reconciles with the strangeness of his reproduced wife and comes to love this new person
Sometimes you need to travel far to get in touch with your inner self
