I loved the characters Sophie and Liv and how invested I quickly became in their lives
The ending was so dramatic. I was literally holding my breath.
I had listened to the first Jo Jo Moyes and loved it-not sure if same performer, but really enjoyed the performances of these readers.
It did have very sad parts but, also, some very witty dialogue. I really felt like I knew the characters and really cared what happened to them.
I've only read 2 by Jo Jo Moyes, but plan to explore her other books soon
a different narrator would have allowed you to at least get into the story. however, the part of the story that i listened to was stereotypical and i didn'[t really invest in the characters. not at all like Nora Roberts other books where I love the characters and really care about them
too stereotyped-i could give the dialogue before i heard it
just a straight read would have been better than destroying the Southern accents.
i'm turning this book back in.
Many issues are facing and the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency and a special visitor has come to see them. Once again the Ladies are getting involved and helping others. As always, the characters are interesting and yet reflect our everyday issues of trust and doing the right thing. I'm ready for the next adventure.
I liked how Clovis Anderson was helpful, humble and in the end was himself healed.
I was happy that there was resolution for Grace and Putti with their house. I was afraid that wasn't going to have a happy ending.
I did both-that's the way with Botswana
I love this narrator. Don't think I can ever just "read" these books again. So great to hear her voice. Makes me feel like I'm there in Botswana and the Speedy Motors.
I didn't read the print version
I liked the way it didn't give away the ending and let you have some hope. I loved the characters-they were very real in their feelings and actions.
I thought she really captured Jennifer-the socialite, but also, the lost girl
I think I would take Jennifer-she seems so genuine and really cared about people. I'd like to know how she brought out the best in others,
My daughter told me to listen to this book and I'm so glad that I did. It had romance, mystery, sorrow, but with a happy ending. What more could you ask for?
Notorious Nineteen does not disappoint. You'd think Stephanie and Lula would have run out of crazy situations, but they are still finding them. More cars blown up, more rescues by
Ranger.More development with Morelli. This book even had a good mystery going.
The scene at the nude beach was hilarious-I could picture it all. The action parts of the story were exciting and somewhat believable. Joe and Stephanie's relationship is definitely getting more interesting.
can't wait for #20
