It's your best friend book. I love it!!
If Steel Magnolias was a book... :-)
I laughed, I cried and my husband made fun of me, haha.
I love the movie and I love the book!
Maybe. It was an interesting story.
I liked they used lots of people to read this story to differentiate the characters. I felt it helped me keep up better rather than using one person to do 20 voices.
It was a very engaging story. Hard to put down.
Our great history!
The Bible :-)
Mark Burnett and Roma Downey did a great job picking some of the stories from the Bible to engage people to want to know more about the Bible.
Paul, his testimony is amazing, but I would take anyone from this story. In all the stories, the people had such a deep faith that is hard to even fathom these days. If we thought we heard a voice out of a burning bush today, or a voice telling us to build a big boat to prepare for a flood, or to march around huge walls for several days, etc. people would think that we were crazy. Stories of amazing faith!!
It's a good story. It's a classic.
A bit vulgar, but it is the Godfather, so you have to expect that. Not as bad as the movie though.
Probably not... Just wasn't a fan.
Be more cautious of the books I get.
Like I said in the headline, I liked the book more than the movie, but that isn't saying much.
Felt like the story was forced and conflict just thrown in out of nowhere.
The old boyfriend from the first book, not Alex, but the other. Serves no real purpose.
Felt like the cussing was excessive. Let us use real words, please.
Maybe. It is exactly like the movie and I own the movie. That is the only reason I would not listen to it again.
A book for parents. I know it is aimed at dads, but being a mother, I am also reminded how important time with your kids should be. We should all strive to be closer to God and if you get that right, most will just fall into place. But having said that, we should consider our time with our children precious because we have no idea how much time we have with them!!
