    Across America a mysterious disease is turning ordinary people into raving, paranoid murderers who inflict brutal horrors on strangers, themselves, and even their own families.

    Scott Sigler is a pure inspiration. For those that want to comment on his voices for character;
    1) He puts out ALL his own stuff, he writes and records and posts it to his site, and has new stuff out weekly 2)Do you think you could do better? Thought not.

    Sigler is GREAT at what he doese, he realy grabs you by the face and throws you into the story, from a fast paced intense thrill ride of a story line, to well developed and realistic characters.

    If you're into Zombie/Infectious Disease/ What If Sci Fi horror, this is a must have, and check out his other books too!

    They rise... Out of the flooded streets of Houston, they emerge from plague-ridden waters. Dead. Rotting. Hungry. And as human survivors scramble to their rooftops for safety, the zombie hordes circle like sharks. The ultimate killing machines. They feed... Houston is quarantined to halt the spread of the zombie plague. Anyone trying to escape is shot on sight---living and dead.

    While not the worst zombie story out there, it is also far from the best. Slow and uninspired plot, and boring characters , it's an O.K. waste of a credit and a few hours. I found myself constantly checking the remaining time because I wanted to start something better.

    The reader is one of the WORST I have listened to on any audible title. The story itself is a 3 of 5 star. The performance is a 1 of 5. It would have been a MUCH better listen if he would have read in mono tone. I will really avoid getting anything read by this guy again.

    Across America, a mysterious pathogen transforms ordinary people into raging killers, psychopaths driven by a terrifying, alien agenda. The human race fights back, yet after every battle the disease responds, adapts, using sophisticated strategies and brilliant ruses to fool its pursuers. The only possible explanation: the epidemic is driven not by evolution but by some malevolent intelligence.

    First of all, if you haven't read/listened to the entire series, don't leave bad reviews because you were confused by the 12th book in an epic fantasy. Thats just rude to anyone that reads the review AND more to the author(s) of this great series.

    Brandon Sanderson was a GREAT choice to finish this series. While there is no way for ANY other author to jump into anothers work, especialy of this magnitude, and match the original author, Sanderson comes close. His Mistborn series is on par with the greats of his genre and he upholds the same level of greatness in his work on this series.

    That being said: The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan is one of the best fantasy series of our time. There are few other authors that have such an in depth fantasy world, characters and story line.

    If you havent started the series, you will enjoy this book 100% more if you start at the begining of the series.

    As for Brandon Sanderson finishing the series, and it being 3 books instead of the intended 1 book:
    Robert Jordan left a lot of this final stage in his notes/outlines and recording. Sanderson is not just finishing this series, he is working off of what Jordan left, and staying very true to the series. The book was split into 3 parts instead of a final book because, frankly it would be HUGE.
