Orphaned and besieged, Princess Alesandra knew that only hasty marriage to an Englishman could protect her from the turmoil in her own land. To the amusement of her makeshift guardian, Colin, younger brother of the Marquess of Cainewood, the bold raven-haired beauty instantly captivated London society. But when Alesandra was nearly abducted by her unscrupulous countrymen, the fighting instincts that won Colin a knighthood for valor were kindled. Deceiving himself that he wanted only to protect her, Colin swept her into a union meant to be a marriage in name alone...yet Alesandra's tender first kiss and hesitant caress ignited a wildfire in his soul.

What made the experience of listening to Castles the most enjoyable?

The story itself is the only reason I listen to the audio. I have been reading Julie Garwood for years. I love her stories and I love this series. She is the classic romance novelist.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I like Colin. He's very strong willed. The only thing I didn't like about him is he became to hard all of the sudden. In the previous books he was fun loving and joking and good natured. In his book there was a certain cynicism about him that wasn't expected.

What didn’t you like about Heather Wilds’s performance?

Honestly I couldn't stand her. I hated how she said Colin's name. She said it like colon. All I thought about what someone's intestance. Wasn't that impressed with her reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Not really.

Eveline Armstrong is fiercely loved and protected by her powerful clan, but outsiders consider her "touched." Beautiful, fey, with a level, intent gaze, she doesn't speak. No one, not even her family, knows that she cannot hear. Content with her life of seclusion, Eveline has taught herself to read lips and allows the outside world to view her as daft. But when an arranged marriage into a rival clan makes Graeme Montgomery her husband, Eveline accepts her duty -unprepared for the delights to come.

Would you consider the audio edition of Never Seduce a Scot to be better than the print version?

Really I love the audio. The only reason I even started reading this book was cause I ghetto audio. Kirsten Potter is amazing. She made me believe the characters were alive. She is such a talented narrator. I enjoy every book she reads.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Eveline is my favorite character. She is so sweet and innocent. You can't help but love her. There isn't anything about her you can't like.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is when Eveline yells for the women of the keep to get OUT!!! It broke my heart for all those women to be so mean to her. And when she talked for the first time in three years it was just amazing.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I had an extreme reaction to the book. In fact I had several. It made me laugh till I cried and cry till I laughed.

    Any additional comments?

I recommend this book to anyone who loves Maya Banks and just good old fashion romance.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The book itself defiantly. I love the book. Laurel and Conor are wonderful characters and I fell in love with every brother and couldn't wait to read their story. Laurel is a bad ass. She can ride, she can hunt, and she stands up and doesn't take shit from anybody. Conor is a devoted laird and a hard man but he is so caring. I couldn't help but feel for the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

The test of wills between Conor and Laurel. He keeps trying to control her and she shows him that there is different ways to show you love someone

Would you be willing to try another one of Anne Flosnik’s performances?

No I would not listen to another one of her reading. She is so bland and I don't know what it is with some people reading but the Scottish sometimes sounds a little Swedish. I got bored with her. I wanted something to listen to in the car or just to help relax and I just got annoyed listening to her.

Could you see The Highlander's Bride being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I really wish someone would make a romance novel into a movie or tv show. I really don't know who I would choose to play the leads though.

    Any additional comments?

Get the book you'll love it. I wouldn't advice listening to the audible unless they got a a different narrator.

Where does In Bed with a Highlander rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks pretty high. I have listened to many audiobooks and this is one of my favorites.

What did you like best about this story?

I really just love Ewan and Mairin. They are just so sweet.

What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?

I loved the way she read the book. Her voices were amazing and her enthusiasm while reading is unmatched. I would find more books read by her just to hear her voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the part when Mairin is listing different suggestions on what to do with the traitor and Caelen says she is so bloodthirsty. I love it!

Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.
