I have listened to dozens of gay male themed books on Audible. Many of them are supernatural fantasy or unrealistic romantic tales. This book had been in my “Wish List” for over a year. I was somewhat skeptical about listening to a book about gay men read by a female narrator. To my surprise, this was a fantastic book that explored so many issues that I could one day face. The narrator was superb and the way she read the story made me regret that I even considered her gender as a factor. This truly is a great story that I can realistically seeing happening to myself or one of my friends. Give it a chance.
I purchased this book over six months ago and have listened to it at least four times. It is the perfect mix of humor, drama, mystery, suspense, spies, evil step-mother, ex-girlfriends, money and hockey players who fall in love. The entire story is over the top but I love these characters so much. Listen to this book!
Fantastic, he brings each character to life.

I want the other books in this series to be audiobooks too!
I really love the characters and the story line has promise. Just wish something would have been resolved in the book.
It is as if the story stops in the middle. There are no answers and apparently book 2 is not available at this time (audio or ebook). I would recommend you wait to listen to this one until book 2 is released.
I probably will in a few months when the next story in the series is released.
The first few minutes of this story made me stop and download another. Unfortunately, that one was even worse. I went back to this story and once I gave it a change (after about 10-30 minutes) I was completely enthralled. A surprisingly wonderful story that kept me engaged until the end. Uncharacteristically, I kept listening to the story even after leaving work and finished it in one day. I even looked for the next book in the series. Can't wait until the next book "DADDIO" is available!
I really enjoyed this story. However, because Audible started with the second book in this series, I think there were some things in this book that I did not fully understand. Clearly there were some relationships and issues that required context from the previous book to grasp. Still, it was a great story and I hope we get more.
I cannot believe this book was published in 1986! I had no idea until the copyright information just before the final
