Some people have dreams that are so magnificent that if they were to achieve them, their place in history would be guaranteed. People like Christopher Columbus, Isaac Newton, Florence Nightingale, Thomas Edison, Nancy Astor, Charles Lindbergh, Amy Johnson, Edmund Hilary and Neil Armstrong - their unparalleled success has made their stories into legend. But what if one man had such a dream, and once he'd achieved it, there was no proof that he had fulfilled his ambition?

I wasn't sure if I would like this or not. It really isn't my genre. But it was very interesting. I had a hard time shutting it off! My only regret was that it wasn't longer. I strongly suggest you give this one a listen. -Mrs. Yancey F.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I am an adult and buy and listen to literature for my kids. This series is very entertaining. Not your ordinary "fairy tale princess" story. Root for the underdog and read the book.

"You can't touch me," I whisper. I'm lying, is what I don't tell him. He can touch me, is what I'll never tell him. But things happen when people touch me. Strange things. Bad things. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal, but The Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to use her as a weapon. But Juliette has plans of her own.

Jess Russell says: "Good story, but SO OVER DRAMATIC."

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I'm not sure why it was written this way, but it sounds like a little kid wrote this while trying desperately to sound adult. And I swear if I heard one more sratching noise, I'd scratch out my eardrums! Absolutely painful to listen to. Save yourself the money/credit and buy UnEnchanted or Croak.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Unsure, I got this for my daughter, and she didn't like it either.

How could the performance have been better?

Less flowery writing and less scratching.

What character would you cut from Shatter Me?

Well, as I couldn't get through the first few chapters, I'd have scrapped the the whole writing style. Concept wasn't bad though.

What did you love best about SEAL Team 666?

This was a well written, refreshingly different monster book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What other book might you compare SEAL Team 666 to and why?

It was really a bit of a Zero Dark Thirty / Seal Team Six (the movies) goes supernatural. Which was good because Lord knows Zero Dark Thirty could have used the help!

What does Paul Michael bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He did a fine job. As long as he isn't terrible, that's all I ask.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did chuckle here and there, but nothing extreme.

    Any additional comments?

A fun listen worth the time and credit, especially if you are looking for something different.

Bailey Ruth Raeburn has always been great at solving mysteries. Why should a little thing like her death change anything? In fact, being dead gives her more of an opportunity to be on top of events. Bailey Ruth is delighted that her unique position as a ghost makes it possible for her to lend a helping hand, sometimes seen and sometimes not. And if anybody needs a little help, it's Kathleen, the pastor's wife. There's a dead man on her porch, and once the body is discovered, the pastor is sure to become a suspect.
