One look at Brawn, and Becca is wondering how he’d look without his clothes. He’s also instantly attracted to her, but has sworn never to touch a human female. They just aren’t sturdy enough for the type of rough sex Brawn enjoys most. When he learns he’ll be living under the same roof with Becca, Brawn simply sees it as a chance to broaden his knowledge of humans. Hopefully he can do so while keeping his hands off her.… His good intentions go astray when they’re both kidnapped and locked together in a cage.

What did you like best about Brawn? What did you like least?

I think the basic story was good but I found Becka annoying. I liked Brawn but Becka was a pain in being so difficult. It was really a bit much and her anger went on way too long. She should have been easier to deal with earlier in the book so that we could see their relationship develop more.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Brawn is the most interesting. Like I said, Becka was annoying. I just wish they would have talked more because the mis-perceptions were silly. And boy, she had a potty-mouth.

Have you listened to any of Vanessa Chambers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. I liked Vanessa's performance in this book.

    Any additional comments?

Having read 5 books now, my favorite is Justice and my next favorite is Valiant. This one is my least favorite. I am sure the next one will be better.

Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger - a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he's The One. Or so she thinks.

What made the experience of listening to Devil's Game the most enjoyable?

    Story line, performance, characters, everything.

Have you listened to any of Tatiana Sokolov and Todd Haberkorn ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Tatiana and Todd are great. I think more stories should have male and female performers rather than one voice for the entire story to capture the male and female characters. Please continue this trend.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I really like the male characters of these books.

    Any additional comments?

Not much to say except...keep them coming!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is a really good story. It is a great balance of romance, a close bond between brothers, and intrigue. I only wished it lasted longer. I have listed to it two times and know I will eventually listen to it again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Once Upon a Kiss?

When Blake and Dominique finally let themselves see that they care for each other.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Wow...so many. All the scenes between Blake and Dominique and those between the brothers are good.

    Any additional comments?

This is a great book. It was a change listening to a man, Brandon, narrate and it was nice. There were times when I wished to hear a female for Dominique and Elise, but the male voice was perfect for the male characters, and there were more male characters than female. Tanya's other audio book about the Vikings is also a great read and I would recommend that as well.

Her fear scents of pure, sweet temptation and the closer he gets, the more appealing she becomes. Once he’s got his hands on her, he isn’t about to let her go. One thought will change his life. What did you love best about Valiant?

I really like Valiant. He is one of my favorite species.

What did you like best about this story?

He goes for it but he also cares a great deal. The flow of the story is very good and kept me interested. The characters are very interesting. I like how Laurann keeps the previous characters in the story so that we feel there is a progression from one book to the next. Having read Book 4 and 5 already, Justice is my favorite, then Brawn and then Valiant as species characters. But wait...Wrath seems good. Keep reading these stories!

What about Vanessa Chambers’s performance did you like?

    She did a fine job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could have in maybe three.

    Any additional comments?

I would recommend that folks stick with the series. These stories are really good, though some will be better than others of course. I can't wait to ready the next one.

Yes. It is a very good story but I would recommend that it be read with the other Cyborg books to be an even better read.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes. I could have.

    Any additional comments?

This is really my favorite book of this series. The story is good and flows nicely, the pace is good, I really like the characters. These books have really gotten better and better. I was loosing interest at around the fourth book but wanting to give the series another chance, I skipped a few and read this one. Now, I want to go back and read the prior two books. Good job!

Would you try another book from Laurann Dohner and/or Simone Lewis?

I have read several of Laurann's books. I like the New Species the best. I thought Simone did a very good job in this audio.

What was most disappointing about Laurann Dohner’s story?

This had some potential but I find Shana's character a little annoying. I am all for a strong female character but sometimes in these Zorn stories, that is all that defines the woman lead character. There is very little mixture of both hard and soft. It is like in these stories, Laurann has a difficult time balancing the two. I sometimes did not understand why Berr cared so much for Shana. Except for being a human woman, I did not find anything in her character that would attract him to her. She was always mouthy, cursing, and always had an attitude. So, while i am for being a strong woman, there has to be more to the character than that. I sometimes found myself skipping ahead because Shana would start complaining yet again about the same things. I think Laurann did a great job with the third story in this series. I felt the female lead was much more balanced.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The love scenes between Berr and Shana were nice.

    Any additional comments?

I would like it if Laurann could reduce the foul language. I wrote this before but I am not sure it is necessary to use such language just to make the characters tough. I really like her work overall and because I listen to many of her books, I do get to hear the curse words often. After a while, it starts to grate on the nerves.

Justice North is the face of New Species. Seeing him up close makes Jessie’s heart race. He’s the ultimate alpha male - big, muscular, exotically beautiful… and dangerous. Of course he’s off limits. But then the sexy man purrs and all bets are off. Jessie Dupree is a mouthy, fiery human female who brings out the animal in Justice. She wants to show him how to relax, and he’s all for anything she wants to do, but Justice has sworn to protect his people and to take a Species mate.

Where does Justice rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This one is very good. I will listen to it again.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked all of the characters. Justice's character was developed in the earlier versions and this story really did not deviate from what we have learned about him. It really filled out a lot of his story. I really liked all the characters and it was not too much angst. This is my favorite New Species so far. Justice is also my favorite New Species so far.

What about Vanessa Chambers’s performance did you like?

She did the male and female characters very well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I could have easily done that if I had the time.

    Any additional comments?

I have liked Fury, Valiant and Justice. I was not too fond of Slade because it went too fast and ended abruptly. Brawn is great as a character but the story started good and ended annoyingly. I look forward to the next one (#6). I do wonder why some of Lauranne's women (especially in her Zor series) use foul language so often. It is grating after a while and while I am sure it is for emphasis, after a while it is just a bit much.
