Yes I would. Enjoying listen. Quite a rich world.
How it ties up some nice bits of the story of the other series.
Any scene that is funny.
Join the adventure as a young boy learn what it takes to be a man.
Good book, it is written for a younger audience. It's violent but not so badly that I would not let kids listen to it. It has lots of lessons in it about what it takes to be a good person.
The inventive side of the young boys.
The old one armed man, as he is so talented.
Not bad, he did a good job. He is one of my favorite voice actors.
Yeah when the young boy got hit by an arrow in the boat. It was very predictable that it would happen but it was also a scene that had to happen in one way or another to move the character development forwards.
Good book. Listened to the whole thing in one shot. Love the inventive side of the characters. The story line is quite predictable it however still holds my attention.
It's missing some thing, but it adds to the overall story of the series.
Harry, because the series is from his perspective.
The scene at the end where he finds out what his brother has been doing. Or when the go blasting out of the tunnel like a cannonball.
Hero, teacher, lover, fighter.
I enjoyed this book, listened to it over a period of about a month or so. Easy to follow, and enjoyable.
This book made me guilty of not being able to turn it off. Its a continuation of the earlier books. New allies and we see a few old friends in new situations.
The big scarecrow immune to fire chasing the car down the highway.
His performances are always top notch. Very good performance.
The moment they are all fighting to get out of the never never and they are being chased by a bunch of fairies and Dresden's brother starts kicking butt.
Over all a decent listen if you like these kind of books. I love this series because it is so long and allows me time to learn a character before they are disposed of and a new one comes along. But the lack of movement of the story sometimes can be frustrating, I was noticing through most of the books in the Dresden files that as the end of the book approaches, there is a flurry of activity and a resolution and the book ends. Most of the earlier pages supports what happens in the end and basically sets up the situation. This is nice in some ways especially if you like slow moving stories, but if you miss a word here or there your not going to be completely lost unless your near the end or a critical moment in the book.
I loved the jokes, from oberon, the voice actor brings that dog alive.
When oberon says he is out of dog treats.
Oberon, by far my favorite character.
I laughed at quite a few parts.
The story of this series seems to be moving in a disturbingly more raunchy direction. Hopefully this trend does not continue.
Yes I would, the audio version with the character voices create a vivid landscape that allows the minds eye to follow the story almost like sitting in front of a television.
Oberon would have to be my favorite character, the witty remarks made by this Dog got me laughing more than once.
Yes, I have listened to the whole series, Got hooked on the first book of the iron druid chronicles, and have enthusiastically followed the whole series.
I laughed quite a bit while listening to this book. Without the comic relief this book would have been much harder to listen to.
This series is without doubt one of my favorite, my many thanks to Luke Daniels, I have become a huge fan of his work, I especially like how he has found a way to work known mythology into a believable story line. The new way to look at old "mythological heroes" has opened my eyes to realizing that some old preconceptions about characters who generally get cast in a favorable light need not necessarily be conceptualized that way. Casting Thor as a bad guy along with the rest of Asgard was a brilliant move.
I find it hard to wait for the next book in the series, I hope this series continues for a long time. There is much back story to be told yet, and some of the characters such as the witches coven, or the wolf pack, and even the story of some of the elemental's, could have their own series of books.
Thank you so much Luke Daniels for creating a character that I can connect with after listening to this book, I am even more proud to have Irish blood.
