I loved this book. It made me both laugh and cry. I didn't want to turn my IPOD off. The author really played with your emotions. My heart ached for the mom as she had to face loosing her son to a horrible disease. The sacrifices she made and the never failing faith she always showed her son, made an awesome read. Plus I felt the narrator did a great job as well. I'll listen to this one again.
I do love this series. It was fun and entertaining. It does contain it's fair amount of steamy scenes though, so be forewarned if that's not your cup of tea.
Didn't read the book, but the audio was very satisfying
Andy was my favorite character. She was the strength of the story.
She lets me hear word for word with emotions and feeling, where when reading I can sometimes gloss over parts I might not find appealing.
It took me by surprise a few times and made me feel a part of the characters intense situation.
I really loved this story. It wasn't to heavy on the Christian side...just enough to know that honest people do depend on God in good times and bad. It was nice to have a little drama mixed with a little romance and a little intrigue, without having to wade through twisted sick scenes, sex or bad language. A clean read that left you feeling good at the end.
I loved this book and can't wait to hear the next in the series. The narrator does an exceptional job with the characters and makes the entire book a pleasure to hear. Not to mention how well the writer did in making it all seem real, and plausible. It's about a 30 hour listen, but time seemed to go by very fast. It was interesting to hear bits of history put into an enjoyable read. Not just romance, but pain and heartache and page turning (listening) plots, kept me glued to my MP3 player. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I'm more of a paranormal romance type reader myself, but I enjoyed this book and the story as it unfolded. It kept my interest, and kept me guessing as to who the murderer was right up to the end. The only thing I didn't like was the looooong pauses between chapters. I often found myself checking my MP3 player to see if it had shut off by itself after the chapter ended........
I just couldn't get through this book. I listened to the first 3 hours hoping it would get better, but the characters seemed to be far fetched right from the beginning, and the readers southern accent was just unbearable to listen to. I finally gave up altogether. I have read other books by Fern Michaels, but I wouldn't recommend spending your money on this audiobook....
