When the main character is learning how to write....write sex into her stories as suggested by her neighbor, the Author. As she reads what she has written, as the listener I'm hearing what she's written, imaging and thinking about her words and then LAUGH OUT LOUD when she thows in the name of the neighbor into the story...opps....He's not suppose to be in that Love Scene. That was the funny!
I've not heard Amanda in other books but I am impressed with the differnt "voices" she's been using in this book...the gals, the guys, the old men. Pretty great.
this was a fun book. Good characters and a story that made me want to listen to more.
more store and less descriptions I found we were up to chapter 9 and I knew very little about the mystery and TONS of little details about stuff that were not part of the story. It was like listening to a friend tell a story that would never end.
I missed hearing Bobby Cannavale as the voice of Michael Bennett. I guess I was spoiled hearing his voice. The story was a bit slower but the ending was good.
This was my first time to listen to Gabra Zackman perform and she was great! Very happy she is the narrator on the complete series. It's been fun listening to her. Just searched her and found she's done many more books so I'll check them out since she's so enjoyable t listen to.
Didn't care for most of the men's voices the narrator used...and the older women all sounded the same.
Yes I would recommend...easy listening. good story.
The author states at the begining it was a story she had written earlier. And you can sort of tell by the lack of 'back story'. You think two characters just meet but then you start to wonder if they have known each other much longer. It was really clear. But I got over that and listed to a good story.
The begining was great...lots of little stories...but too much real life past that and I was wasn't looking for that...I was looking for mystery with Kinsey
I liked the little Kinsey stories at hte begining
