Loved this lecture series. Lots of good insights to languages of Europe. That was the only disappointment that it was mainly focused on European languages with minor mentioning of other languages from around the world.
Fun listen of the Tudor times with some good historical accuracy for event timelines thrown in.
I found this book hard to follow. With all the names I couldn't keep the characters straight and it made it really confusing since I couldn't listen to all in one sitting. Maybe that would have made me feel different about it, but as it was, I didn't really care for it.
I enjoyed listening to the book on my long commutes. It made the time pass faster.
A great listen about vampires that takes a unique twist that isn't a young adult love story. Enjoyable read for adults too.
Very long book that left me irritated at the end. The characters are well developed and the story keeps you involved and waiting for what will happen next. Except that's exactly how it ends, leaving you wondering what happened next. I would still recommend, but I was frustrated by the ending cliff hanger.
Very well read.
Good details of life of a hangman and how they lived on the fringe of society.
After having heard Mr. Gardner's performance, even when I read other books from the series I hear his voice in my head!
The narrator helps to bring the period to life and you get a sense of the lives of the characters.
A great read and listen. The series is wonderful.
Great story and performance. The only bad part, the annoying music between chapters that is at a louder volume than the narration.
