This second novel in the Miss Peregine's Home for Peculiar Children series begins in 1940, immediately after the first book ended. Having escaped Miss Peregrine's island by the skin of their teeth, Jacob and his new friends must journey to London, the peculiar capital of the world. Along the way, they encounter new allies, a menagerie of peculiar animals, and other surprises. Complete with dozens of newly discovered (and thoroughly creepy) vintage photographs, this new adventure will delight fantasy fans of all ages.

Heralded as an instant classic of fantasy literature, Maguire has written a wonderfully imaginative retelling of The Wizard of Oz told from the Wicked Witch's point of view. More than just a fairy tale for adults, Wicked is a meditation on the nature of good and evil.

What made the experience of listening to The Warrior Heir the most enjoyable?

I really enjoy the jumping from era to era but it being primarily in this century and the fact that it's a different take on magic and the trouble between guilds

It kind of reminds me of city of bone but the dynamic is very different

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Robert Ramirez?

    He was actually not bad

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Slavery in the world of magic
