This book kept my whole family (my husband and me, three high-schoolers and a fifth grader) spellbound for an entire two-day car journey. When we arrived, the kids wanted to stay in the car in the hotel parking lot to listen to the last ten minutes of the story. It really is just that exciting. We have been fighting over readership of the three printed novels ever since.
Very useful book and nice narration. Rather than just a step-by-step recipe of different dog obedience steps, it teaches how to incorporate those steps and teaching into your daily life and how to have a good attitude towards you dog.
The main character is a gruff, tough, humorless man. The book's narrator has a deep, gravelly voice which he has to use frequently to do female voices, which is not good. The book describes a world full of scientific advances and yet the characters are still chain-smoking cigarettes and flushing toilets. I did not like this one at all.
