I just love dog stories and Koontz is a good story teller
This is a Koontz story for the family
I never read a Koontz book because I don't like that type of book. So I am glad at least I was introduced to this Top Novelist
Yes but I would remind them that this series is a slow moving story
I like the way Agnes helped Father Tim rebuild the membership of the church
I am used to his voice and feel comfortable with his portrayal of charaters
Not really. Most of these books are comfortable but not action packed. I love the story and the characters and if it last over days or even a week it is ok. These are my soothing stories. No bad language no sudden horrors althought they do portray life
I did recommend it to a friend but she felt it was to slow moving and nothing really happened. But I am hooked on it.
Yes Because the story was told in a way that I could listen and not so painful as other stories on that subject was, but yet it was truthful. It was the experience of the average Afro American who didn't get hanged or caught by the Klan but yet was touched by what was going on around him.
Maybe the story of the sisters the Delaney Sisters
I thought the Dr who drove from to Louisiana to Calif to escape discrimination, and found he could not get a motel in the western States, stood out for me because he didn't expect to feel the discrimination after he left the south.
I have read other books which were more extreme and I could not finish the book. But this one told the story in a way that I could read it again. It could have been my Mother's story or my Father's story or any American Black leaving the South at that time.
I plan to give a copy of this book to my Grandson so he will know how the way was made for him.
Elephants South Africa conservation
Learning about the behavior of elephants in their real life not the circus
Yes and I continue to listen to it over and over
I want to know more
Yes It's like listen to dramatized radio in the old days
The first book in the series
She has a convincing southern accent of the upper class. She knows the blue collar accent and the Yankee accent
I would if I could but I couldn't so it was great to get back to it. It is never too long. I love the two maylay scene in each book. I laugh out loud!
I listen to Ms. Julia so much until I have memorized them. I hate that because Ann Ross doesn't write them fast enough for me. I have recommended them to many friends who want a good laugh.
I read Have a Little Faith first and I learned to love Mitch's story Otherwise I would have avoided the subject matter
Mitch who was so honest about his attitude which mirrors many of our attitudes about keeping up with our friends.
Morrie who was transparent but not so pitiful. It wasn't painful to continue listening, coming from a cancer survivor
An uplifting story of the terminally ill
I love Mitch Albom as the narrator. I'm waiting for his next true story
yes I do listen over and over to Monk and Pitt series
I recommend the whole series
The great divide of the classes. The disrespect the upper class had for police
Victorian England"s underside
I love Charlotte and Thomas Pitt as well as Hester and Monk for their portrayal of strong women
I was able to listen with my Granddaughter. It held both our attention
The uncle was interesting. Of course Theo
I liked his voice
It was a good family portrait. The parents were a bit different in the way they raised their only child. It was funny how they repeated the same instructions daily.
I love all things John Grisham. The only ones I haven't read is the ones with subjects that make me uncomfortable And I know one day I will eventually read them all
This series is my favorite of all my audiobooks. I have read them all (Listen to them all) I am waiting on the next 2 to come in MP3 version. The CDs are too expensive. I do have a few CD version I have listened to all of them at least 3 times and I will continue to listen to them.
I can't remember the plot by the title as the title does not relate well to the content.
I love her best of the 3 narrators although I like them all.
I would love to see this become a movie series but I don't believe a movie could tell the story as well. So I see the movie as I listen
I always prefer the Audio version because I can read while working or driving. Sometimes while sleeping although I have to back track alot
The wife and Monk
I love her accent and her different voices. It makes is more realistic
Get a view of the other side of Victorian England!!
I love the way Ms Perry brings out the disrespect the Upper class has for the police dept. I never thought about that before. It seems as if they didn't want the crimes solved as long as their reputations were protected.
