Teaching your children when to say "yes" and when to say "no" will help them gain control of their lives. In this remarkable audio guide, two leading psychologists teach parents how to raise their kids to take responsibility for their actions, attitudes, and emotions. You'll learn how to set limits and still be a loving parent, bring control to an out-of-control family life, apply the 10 laws of boundaries to parenting, define legitimate boundaries for your family, and much more.

I needed this! I didn't learn hardly any of this growing up.

The authors gave me principles... and also examples to help me visualize these abstract ideas in everyday life. Very good teaching!

In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers"--the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

S Prabhu says: "Excellent book; well adapted for the audio format"
    "Interesting & insightful."
    Overall

Very goood. Gladwell has a way of not only writing in an interesting way, but also reading it in an audio. This book is very easy to listen to, and it is very insightful. I'll probably never look at success quite the same way again. I'm glad I listened to this!

Christians often focus so much on being loving and unselfish that they forget their own limitations, allowing others to take advantage of their kindness. Authors Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend offer Biblically-based ways to take control of your life and set healthy boundaries with parents, spouses, children, friends, coworkers, and even yourself.

Very benificial listen. Rich with insight. This audio book gave me insight into what was happening with my boss and also what was happening with one of my children.

With more than 15 million copies in print, More Than a Carpenter continues to be one of the most powerful evangelical tools worldwide. Josh McDowell's timeless examination of the true nature of Christ and his impact on our lives is one of the best-selling Christian books ever. Written by a former skeptic of Christianity, it answers the tough questions about Christ's deity and the historical reliability of Scripture.

Worth the listen. Logical presentation. Historical evidence. Easy to listen to.

  • Experiencing Prayer with Jesus: The Power of His Presence and Example

Prayer is far more about listening to God than talking to Him. We discover His agenda as we pray; He opens our understanding of what He's about to do. As God "lays His heart over our heart" we experience "a relationship with God where He can unfold His purposes".

Beyond Jabez follows up on spiritual phenomenon Bruce Wilkinson's breakthrough teaching in The Prayer of Jabez. It captivated millions and continues to lead to changed lives around the world. This is different material from the original "Prayer of Jabez." Bruce's style of writing and delivery is easy to listen to. If you have seen the Jabez videos, then this is a repeat of them with a few new stories. If you haven't seen the videos, then I really recommend this download. I consider this to be one of the best downloads that I've purchased from Audible.

Stephen Covey shows you how to apply the acclaimed 7 Habits to the unique circumstances of your family. You'll learn to establish a proven and successful principle-centered framework to build strong family relationships and develop a common language so family members better understand each other.

    Overall

Since I didn't grow up in a home with these principles, it was indeed benificial to me as a parent to listen to Covey's teaching of these "7 habits" and give numerous applications and illustrations (from his own family as well as others), giving me mental images to work with. I'd already been exposed to his original 7 habits book, but this one wasn't a waste. This listen was worth the time and is already making a difference in my family.
