  • Cesar's Way: The Natural, Everyday Guide to Understanding and Correcting Common Dog Problems

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 5 mins)
    • By Cesar Millan, Melissa Jo Peltier
    • Narrated By John H. Mayer
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

There are at least 68 million dogs in America, and their owners lavish billions of dollars on them every year. So why do so many pampered pets have problems? In this definitive and accessible guide, Cesar Millan, star of National Geographic Channel's hit show Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, reveals what dogs truly need to live a happy and fulfilled life.

    L. Worthington says: "This Really Works!"

After having invested thousands of dollars in training assistance, obedience experts, dog psychologist, and well meant advice of many friends Cesar's techniques have finally brought a new happiness to our small pack of six dogs.

He just makes sense. When we think of our dogs as loved dog companions and treat them as such, rather than little people in our home, our life and theirs have become much more enjoyable.

Cesar's way has worked very well for use especially with one of our dogs that had an aggression issue. If you've reached a point where you don't know what to do - do what Cesar says!

  • The Detachment

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Barry Eisler
    • Narrated By Barry Eisler
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

John Rain is back. And “the most charismatic assassin since James Bond” (San Francisco Chronicle) is up against his most formidable enemy yet: the nexus of political, military, media, and corporate factions known only as the Oligarchy. When legendary black ops veteran Colonel Scott “Hort” Horton tracks Rain down in Tokyo, Rain can’t resist the offer: a multi-million dollar payday for the “natural causes” demise of three ultra-high-profile targets who are dangerously close to launching a coup in America. But the opposition on this job is going to be too much for even Rain to pull it off alone.

Andrew Stone says: "Fast paced read..."
    "Solid Entertainment - Good Narration"
What did you love best about The Detachment?

The storyline was decent and the continuous action helped make the overall read very entertaining.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Of course the lead protagonist John Rain makes the storyline flow, but Dox added a lot to the overall entertainment value.

What does Barry Eisler bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Most author narrated books I've listened to have been disappointing. Barry Eisler did an outstanding job of reading his own work. I would not hesitate to listen to more of Eisler's narration.

  • The Messenger

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 54 mins)
    • By Daniel Silva
    • Narrated By Christopher Lane
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Allon is recovering from his grueling showdown with a Palestinian master terrorist, when terrorism comes to find him once again. An al-Qaeda suspect is killed in London, and photographs are found on his computer - photographs that lead Israeli intelligence to suspect that al-Qaeda is planning one of its most audacious attacks ever, straight at the heart of the Vatican.

Dan says: "Well worth the time"
    "Couldn't Turn It Off"

Great action and detail. Some situations were predictable, but I had to sit in my car and finish before I could get out. I've been a big fan of Vince Flynn's action/spy novels and his lead character Mitch Rapp. Now I've found another great source for this genre and another great lead character, Gabriel Allon. I'm downloading my next Daniel Silva now. The narrater did a very good job also.

  • The President's Assassin

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 23 mins)
    • By Brian Haig
    • Narrated By Scott Brick

Shortly after Army lawyer Sean Drummond starts working for the Office of Special Projects, a CIA cell which handles the most dangerous threats, the White House Chief of Staff is found brutally murdered. A note left by the killer promises more victims, including the President.

William says: "The President's Assassin--A Killer Read!"
    "Overbearing lead character, poor narrative"

The description and reviews had me looking forward to this book. I don't know if it is the overbearing first person narrative of the lead character or the the reader, Scott Brick, that bothered me most. I stopped listening after the 2nd chapter. The story sounds good, but it just wasn't the listen I was hoping for.

  • Pursuit of Honor: Mitch Rapp Series

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 50 mins)
    • By Vince Flynn
    • Narrated By George Guidall
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The action begins six days after a series of explosions devastated Washington, D.C., targeting the National Counterterrorism Center and killing 185 people, including public officials and CIA employees. It was a bizarre act of extreme violence that called for extreme measures on the part of elite counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp and his trusted team member, Mike Nash.

Jason J Preston says: "Another Outstandung Vince Flynn Book"
    "Best Flynn Yet"

If you are fan of Mitch Rapp and Vince Flynn you don't even have need to think about this one, it's a winner. If you haven't read any of Vince Flynn's books this should defiantly get you hooked.

One of my favorite authors and one of his best books. I almost had to take time off work to finish this one.

  • Wingman #1: Wingman

    • ABRIDGED (2 hrs and 49 mins)
    • By Mack Maloney
    • Narrated By Terence Aselford

Disarmed and leaderless, the United States is united no longer! Evil Russian warlords have reduced the Capitol to a smoking pile of radioactive rubble. While the destitute citizens are frozen in a state of panic, one man steps forward to seek retribution. He is a brilliant ace fighter pilot: Hawk Hunter, a lone warrior on a mission to keep alive the indomitable spirit of a forgotten dream called "America".

    Audiobook Addict says: "Interesting"
"Don't hold my attention like they did in the past."

I read some of the Wing Man series when I was younger and thought I'd try an audio version. They don't seem to do it for me any more.
