Yes, it's a humorous and quick moving story with vampires, werewolves, humans, etc trying to survive love, murder, betrayal and all the other stuff that makes life worthwhile.
It doesn't get you wound around the supernatural axle and presents characters that could just be real (if there really was vampires and werewolves) and the narrator makes the funny even funnier.
Her interpretation of the voices is fantastic, I love her Dick Cheney. Her Jane Jameson voice is even better than I imagined Jane when I read the book in paperback.
Great voice actor, narrator or whatever you call the reader.
Ethan and Merit's interactions and finally getting it together as a couple.
Interesting venues and intro to gnomes
The witch in charge of the library flirting with Ethan
Cather and Mallory fighting againdt Dark Seth
Twice Dead has another world whence come the shifters and this adds a good bit to this story. Kalayna Price is a top notch author in this fantasy genre and I like all of her books. This book is one of my top ten from Audible especially in the fantasy genre.
Piper Goodeve is excellent narrating this story.
Kita is a very interesting character she is a shapeshifting cat before Nathaniel turns her into a vampire to save her life. She HATES being a bloodsucker and tries to survive by living off wild animals. It doesn't work because she needs a base level of "master" vamp blood and she finds drinking from Nathaniel too intimate. Nathaniel defies the "master of the city" (his brother) for Kita because he obviously loves her. There is a group of scholar magic wielders, necromancers, and everything else you can imagine. You would think it would be confusing but the author works them all in story well.
Well worth the time and money if you like fantasy genre.
I had already read the entire Sookie Stackhouse series before I bought the Audible Series and enjoyed the homespun humor of Charlaine Harris'
Plot twists and turns.
