  • The Power of Now

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 37 mins)
    • By Eckhart Tolle
    • Narrated By Eckhart Tolle
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

To make the journey into The Power of Now you need to leave your analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. Access to the Now is everywhere - in the body, the silence, and the space all around you. These are the keys to enter a state of inner peace.

Kosmas says: "I'm so glad I got this book!"
"A true guide to inner peace"

This audio book is truly a rare gem. Not only does Eckhart masterfully distill the ancient teachings and wisdom for achieving inner peace but explains its difficult concepts in a very clear and effective manner. A must read for those seeking for enlightenment.

  • This Is Water

    • UNABRIDGED (23 mins)
    • By David Foster Wallace
    • Narrated By Amy Wallace-Havens
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

How does one keep from going through their comfortable, prosperous adult life unconsciously? How do we get ourselves out of the foreground of our thoughts and achieve compassion? This audiobook version of a David Foster Wallace commencement speech, read by his sister, Amy Wallace-Havens, captures his electric intellect as well as his grace in attention to others. After his death, it became a treasured piece of writing reprinted in The Wall Street Journal and the London Times, commented on endlessly in blogs, and emailed from friend to friend.

Adryan says: "Too short for what you pay for!"
"Too short for what you pay for!"

Make no mistake, the speech itself was profound, heart spoken and brilliant. Basically the message is, mindful self-awareness leads to love, compassion and eventually a happy life. Very similar to the core values of Buddhism but described in a funny, light hearted and down to earth manner. The only problem here is that for only 24 Mins this speech is NOT WORTH $7! In fact you can get the whole transcript of this speech online FREE by simply doing a google search (I only found about it after I purchased the audiobook). Perhaps 2$ would have been a much more reasonable price.

  • How to Get What You Really, Really, Really, Really Want

    • ORIGINAL (1 hr and 58 mins)
    • By Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Deepak Chopra
    • Narrated By Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Deepak Chopra

In this lecture, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer and Deepak Chopra, M.D., tell you how you can create anything you desire, if you really, really, really, really want it.

By following four simple steps, Dr. Dyer teaches you how to reduce the time from when you decide what you want in your mind to when it actually manifests. As Dr. Dyer says, "What you think about expands, so think about what you want, not about what you don't want."

    Becky says: "It works!"
    "Very entertaining!"

Very light hearted and humorous. I love the chemistry between Dyer and Deepak. Although both speakers only lightly touch the topic, it is a good speech for people just starting to learn about manifesting their life the way they want it to be.

  • Listening: The Forgotten Skill

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 14 mins)
    • By Madelyn Burley-Allen
    • Narrated By Madelyn Burley-Allen

Managers and other employees spend more than 40 percent of their time listening to other people but often do it so poorly that the result is millions of dollars' worth of mistakes, just because most people don't know how to listen. In this new edition of her classic guide to the art of effective listening, Madelyn Burley-Allen tells you how to acquire active, productive listening skills and put them to work for you professionally, socially, and personally.

Stephan B. says: "Good message/Bad narration"

A little long winded and beats around the bush. I was hoping a little more in-depth focus on the skill of listening itself and not the psychological analysis why people don't listen. There are lots of good points but still lots of chaff mixed in.

If you want a better, clear cut and no nonsense approach on the art of listening, I suggest checking out Covey's Seven Habits of Highly effective people on Listening

  • The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Rich

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 21 mins)
    • By Thomas J. Stanley, William D. Danko
    • Narrated By Cotter Smith
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Listen to the incredible national best seller that is changing people's lives - and increasing their net worth. Also available:
    The Millionaire Mind.

Mason says: "Light Went on in My Head"
    "A classic"

A very insightful book and body of research that bust the myth that popular media tells us that wealthy people are high living people who spend vast amounts of money in expensive homes, exotic cars and branded goods.

Just because a person looks the part by driving a fancy sports car and wears an expensive Rolex, does not mean that he actually have money in the bank. A very sobering fact.

In fact, the true millionaires of America, according to the book are frugal, live simply, and spend most of their income on investments. A very good and insightful research on the true nature of America's stewards of wealth.
