Yet her plans lie elsewhere, with the hunt for the elusive firebird and the hope that an outlaw prince still survives.

I love this series and was over the moon happy with the wrap up. It's rare that you are left happy when a series you really enjoy ends but i am happy that LB added so much detail to the finality of the MC's lives after the battle was final waged. You should really give this series a go.

When Ruby woke up on her 10th birthday, something about her had changed. Something frightening enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that got her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that had killed most of America’s children, but she and the others emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they could not control.

Richelle Mead has done it again but in a less teenangsty way. It took a little bit to get into the flow with this book, but stick with it. It's a great read and can't wait for more.

It's one thing to learn to curtsy properly. It's quite another to learn to curtsy and throw a knife at the same time. Welcome to finishing school. Fourteen-year-old Sophronia is a great trial to her poor mother. Sophronia is more interested in dismantling clocks and climbing trees than proper manners - and the family can only hope that company never sees her atrocious curtsy. Mrs. Temminnick is desperate for her daughter to become a proper lady. So she enrolls Sophronia in Mademoiselle Geraldine's Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality. But Sophronia soon realizes the school is not quite what her mother might have hoped.

Where does Etiquette and Espionage rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book has and interesting premise mixed with a great bunch of MC's and put in a surprising time period. This mix adds up to a delightful read that demands you read the rest of the series asap.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

i would recommend this to friend if they had a strong gag reflex. I did really enjoying this book tho there is a cast of great charecters that draw you in and wanting more and hoping for the best in a bad situation. i am def going to have to give the rest of this series a read. And please be careful if you are going to eat and listening to this at the same time, no seriously it has it's moments few and far between when it's got some grisly descriptors. Give it a go.

If you could sum up Darkfever in three words, what would they be?

Awesome. This series was a great find from the first to last book i was hooked, and don't worry there is a great ending to the series and lets be honest some time a series ending can be rather underwhelming.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    Left me needing more.

What did you love best about Shadow and Bone?

I loved learning about the relationship between the two MC and seeing it evolve as they grow up and leave the dukes estate. I did find it a little hard to get into all the new terminology that the book introduces, but once you get into the swing of things this book is riveting.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I have scene the movie version of this book and it is a good portrayal.

    Any additional comments?

I read these books after watching the series Hannibal, i wanted to know more about Will Graham and was sad to find out that he really only appears in one of the series, but other than that i was very happy with this series. At times it is a little slow, but i think i went in with unreasonably high expectations. In all an enjoyable look into the darker side of the human mind.

This is a great start to a really good series, i had to buy the following ones asap and listen to them all in a row, so worth a try.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator has you planted firmly on Kat's side and hoping she can hook up with her leading man.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

i listened to this book for about six hours at time, i was totally hooked.

What made the experience of listening to Night of the Living Deed the most enjoyable?

i loved the vibrancy of the Jersey Shore Life, which was almost another charecter in the story. The narrator brings this story to life with an entertaining performance.

What other book might you compare Night of the Living Deed to and why?

Its kind of like Sookie Stackhouse minus the vampire plus ghost and set in Jersey.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

i love Amanda Ronconi, she is most likely my fav narrator. I think she best personifies the Jane Jameson books, but she definetley does justise to E. L. Copperman's work
