The Queen of Bedlam would rank in the middle of the audiobooks that I've listenen to.
Matthew Corbett was my favorite character because he is driven to find the truth and goes all out to do so even if it means putting himself in danger. I think that his character should "man" up though and make his role as avenger more realistic.
Edoardo Ballerini makes the characters come alive.
I would like to take Matthew Corbett to dinner and explain to him that being an unassuming guy is ok, but in a pinch and in grave danger he should know how to defend himself and those he is helping realistically instead of like a scared girl.
It is a good listen. I did like "Speaks the Nightbird" better than "The Queen of Bedlam" but would still recomend the book.
The Caine Mutiny was an interesting read. I'm not big on military novels but this one kept me listening.
As always Stephen King has a twisted spin on a story. I'v not listen or read a book by him that I did not like. His story line is just left of center enough, and as syfy goes, just maybe could be believable as real. Great author!!
I saw the movie when it came out. The book was much better as you got an insight to the characters. I loved it!
I love listening to Will Patton, he makes a story come alive and you want the story to go on and on.. The book is a great listen, and even though written in the 1950's is still a real possibility today.. I highly recomend it.
This book is one of the best that I have listened to. A great story of one man's will to live and not be broken by opression. I would recomend it to anyone who want's to listen to a great story.
