Far behind him lies a boyhood cut violently short by his family's slaughter, when the forces of madness and hate swept our world after decadent excesses led to civilization's downfall. Great book content and story.

Very dissapointed in Reader. Avoid all Dick Hill Narrations! He doesn't take the time to learn how to pronounce the names of key book Characters. It really put me out but if it wasn't for book content and being Terry Brooks book I would not have listened beyond the first 10 minutes.

This book was a huge dissapointment.
First book was good. This book copied too much from Robert Jordan's Wheel of time series. It absolutely irritated me from the beginning.
Too much adult content no a good read for children.

The Narrator has a great voice but should have listened to prior performance of this series so he would know how to pronounce the names of the main characters. The Mother Confessor is a main character and he misspronounces her name from the beginning. Drove me nuts the whole book through.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to deliver an evening lecture in the U.S. Capitol. Within minutes of his arrival, the night takes a bizarre turn. A disturbing object is discovered in the Capitol Building. The object is an ancient invitation, meant to usher its recipient into a long-lost world of hidden esoteric wisdom. And when Langdon's mentor is kidnapped, Langdon's only hope of saving him is to accept this invitation and follow wherever it leads him.

This book was very irreligious. Too many references to Diest Beliefs and portraying the founders as all diests. Audio book recording and reading was fine and very good quality. My problem was with the content by the author. Very Dissapointing. I will not purchase a Dan Brown book again!
