    What disappointed you about Fifty Shades of Grey?

    This book is awful. It's unbearable. It made me want to rip my headphones out and scream. The writing is poor, the characters are insufferable, the reader is the worst I've ever heard. She is an "uptalker" who sounds vapid and dumb. She uses this stupid voice when she reads for Christian. I am not sure how many times the phrase "my inner goddess" is used - at least 50. When Christian says things like, "You're going to make me angry, and you won't like me when I'm angry," it's comic. It's all laughable, really. I forced myself to listen to about 60% of it, but I'm done wasting my time. Christian and Ana are WORSE than Edward and Bella. If you're an educated, smart woman, I am sure you will hate it too. I don't mean to sound condescending, but most of the women I know who actually enjoyed this book are not avid readers or college graduates.

    I quite honestly don't understand the appeal. The usual trashy romance is better than this.
