"wow, this one stopped me cold in deep thought"
I loved this story, and the narration by Chris Patton was great. He made the story for me, bringing everyone to life for me on my long drives. This story stopped me cold to think about what I could due if the flood really did come, or even a smaller one. Great way to tie the people together. Could not stop listening. and I am downloading "Ark" by Stephen Baxter right now. I can't wait to continue this story line.
"The fight is not over."
The third book in the Star Force series and I can't get enough. Each book is a great standalone story, but the way they lead in to each other just leaves me wanting more.
The only sad thing is, I am about to start book four, the last one. Come on Mr Larson, don't leave me wanting. Keep them coming! Saying that without knowing how book four and the end of the series will end.
Can't say enough about the narration by Mark Boyett. I could and have listened to him for hours on end.
"It just gets better"
after listening to Swarm, I downloaded the next two, starting with this one. Book two in the series did not disappoint in anyway. Now that I know the players in the story line and can relate to them, it is just getting better. I loved Swarm, I love this one even more.
I have started to listen to the third book in the series and have already downloaded the last (book four)
Mark Boyett is still bring the players to life for me. Easy to listen to. I will be looking for other books narrated by him. He is now moving to the top of my favorite readers.
"Great story, Great listen!!!"
I downloaded this book after hearing about it on a radio show. I had never heard of B. V. Larson before and had never read anything by him until now. The story is one of the best I have heard in a long time. I am so glad it is a series and there are more to come. The narration by Mark Boyett is fantastic. He is able to bring the characters to life and I can listen to him for hours.
This is sci-fi at its best. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
"Flash backs to my past"
This is one of the best books I have listened to in, I can't remember. I worked for Sun Microsystems at the time Steve was hacking and remember the memos about him floating around the office.
Great read by Ray, could not have found a better narrator.
"First Koontz for me"
Odd Thomas was a great listen. The narration was really good, with the first person perspective of the story. Really gave Odd a unread personality for me.
Great story, a bit on the sad side, but great twist at the end. I am looking forward to listening to this one again to pickup on the details I may have missed the first time.
"was not sure, but than the hook was set"
I was not sure about the narrater for the start, but once the story hooked me, and I started to really enjoy his voice, emotions, and his ability to bring the story to life for me. Then there is the story itself, thank god it is the original and not the movie remake. So much better being told the way it was intended to be. The Omega Man was a better remake in film. If you think differently when starting this book, give it a hour, it will pull you in too.
