I love that Kyle Rhodes is back and we finally get his whole story and he gets a true shot at happiness and redemption. Great storyline, snappy dialogue and truly laugh out moments makes this book a great listen. I did the Whisper voice option of this title and I have to say that I preferred listening rather than reading this one. Karen White's narration is great!
I accidentally came across this novel while searching for something else. I loved the storyline and there was good character development and very funny dialogue, especially during girlfriend movie night!
I'm not sure I like it enough pick up others in the series, though, especially if they have the same narrator.
This story felt a little rushed to me and the plot line is as plausible as some of her others. She has much books if you want to try her out.
The narrator does a good job with the material
This standalone novel is not as good Julie James FBI series but it's likeable. It's good listen if you're on a road trip and need something light.
I'm not going to give this one 5 stars simply because I think some of the character development here was not MK's best. It would have been nice to see inside the lives a little more of the other members of the divorce recovery group.
If divorce is your thing, I would recommend Mary Kay's Savannah Blues!
I received this book from Audible as a freebie and it's a quick story that managed to put me in Jingle Bell mood in July! Good times!
Still smiling after reading One Last Thing, I immediately purchased My Bluegrass Baby. Not as good as the former but there are funny moments. I was as invested in the characters as I had been in her prior work but it's still worth taking a look.
The Narrator performance makes it worth sticking it out until the end.
I love that story is has romance, fantastic humor, James' trademark snappy dialogue and a touching story of abandonment, forgiveness and new beginnings. I love how James keeps the prior stories connected and give updates on what's happening with her books previous characters!
I stumbled upon this great author and was initially attracted to it because it was set in Kentucky, my childhood home. But a great plot premise and incredibly humorous dialogue kept me riveted to my car seat! I'm sure anyone who has caught someone cheating was routing for Lacey to come out on top!
I decided to give this series another shot and purchased Killer in High Heels. I like the story's premise; long lost father turns out to be a drag queen. But this story gets a little unbelievable when the action starts heating up and the ending was a bit of a let down. There are better series with more likeable sleuths.
