"In the beginning"
I started this series with Narcissus in Chains in the audio version and love the old narrator. She pulled me into these books and made me fall in love with all the characters in them. I do like Jean-Claude’s French accent but HATE his voice. He does not sound sexy, the voice is too feminine it just does not do it for me at all. I MISS the old narrator. I was so looking forward to the first books coming out on audio but was disappointed when I found out who the narrator was going to be she ruined Skin Trade for me and I was hoping that would be the only book she would do. I will still get all of these books in audio because I have them in reg. books. I love the series as it gets farther along but I drive a lot so I need the audio version.
BUT we need these first books to set the foundation to the books that come later. For all you new readers keep going the series is worth it further in. I read and listen to this series a few time a year. It is that good!!!!!
"Cute"
Need some emotional connection with the H/H
Everything was to rushed from damaged emotional girl to i love you in 1 week just not believable...
She did a good job... enjoyed her voice and reading
No
This book was Fluff and Sex...
"Fast and Fun..."
This was a short book for me but it was light hearted and fun...
Bathsheba and Beau were fun and I love a sassy H.
Bathsheba
If you want something light and just a fun listen this is a good pick...
"A little bit of everthing..."
exciting, emotional, and sensual...
Prue.. She loved Chapel and when she realized and accepted how HE felt about himself and about being a vampire she continued to love him unconditionally....
Never, but I will be getting the next book in the series....
I don't think there was a particular moment but what moved me was how Chapel saw himself and even though her had 2 people who cared for him tell him how they saw him he just could not see it.... "It is easier to believe the ugly things people say about you then the beautiful things that are true"
At first I really couldn't get into this book. The first half was just ok and I almost gave up but just couldn't because of the reviews that this book got I knew that I was missing something... Then the 2nd part of the book picked up and carried me away I connected emotionally with Chapel and Prue.... This turned out to be a great book for me because I love historical and paranormal romance and this had them both....
"Wow!!!! Major changes"
Lots of changes in the Psy/Changeling series... I love that we got to see more of the day to day lives and the building of relationship foundations in the Snow Dancer pack I just Love Love Hawk and Sienna!!! Riaz and Adria story was good I like the emotional pull it had on me I connected with Adria and that surprised me because in Kos I did not like her at all..... I have very mixed feeling about Riaz and Lezette... I am excited about Alice and what we will discover about her.... But the way the book ended and the Major Cliff Hanger!!!! Wow now that was enough to make m scream...lol
I love Hawk, I have since the first book but now that we are deeper in the series I am very curious about Vasick.
Ming and Sienna
I wanted to gobble it up all in one bite but knowing I have a full year to wait for the next book I drug it out for 3 days....
Can't wait for the next book.. I am hoping that because of that HUGE cliff hanger NS won't make us wait forever for the next book!!!
"Loved It!!!!"
YES... I love a book that wraps my emotions up into knots..... I love that this book made me laugh and cry....
None, it has been a long time since I found a good Highlander series
When she tells her husband how she vomited on the villain...lol
"Love Jane and Beast"
I really love this series I like that when beast is in control that it is beast that speaks....I like haw Jane has grown in some areas ( Angie baby & Family) but frustrated in how she has not in others (Ricky Bo). I love that the Grindie turns out to be female and has a litter. I think the fight between Jane and the Natural Vamp that gets free of his cage is a major kick ass fight scene. I love how Jane shares her Guardian Angle with Angie Baby because she is her God Mother and this is revealed... And now I wounder where Jane will go from here.....
When Jane calls to beast is she is not there, and Jane is very afraid that now she is truly alone not only does she not have any family but now she has lost beast and has not been without her for over 100 years.
BEAST!!!!!
"Emotional Torture!!!!!"
This series is emotional torture. In the second book of this series once again the Hero is so emotionally cruel to the Heroin and then to top it off what a brutal betrayal. For paranormal romance both the 1st and 2nd books in this series has emotionally ripped my heart out. I love the story and the series but it really sucks when your walking through a store with your head plugged in and you have tears running down your face and people look at you like you are nuts. Man I can’t wait for the next book in the series Michael’s book.
"Horrible Narrator"
I was so looking forward to this series it sounded great BUT… The narrator is so bad he tries to use different (bad) voices for each person, then the back and forth between the formal speech and the street slang is so off putting I think if the just didn’t randomly go into the formal speech then it would mesh fine with the street slang but just pop in because someone says something that they think is important is just off putting. I could only get 2 hours into this book before I had to shut it off or stomp my mp3 player to death. WASTE of my CREDIT!!!
"Hot New Series"
Wow… OK at first I thought I just was going to like this book The Hero very gruff and closed off and the Heroine sassy but whiney the sex hot but crule. Then the emotions and Insecurities started rolling in and it was all over for me. I laughed and cried and cried some more. I look forward to the next books in this series.
"Narrator ruined this wonderful story"
I have watched this movie several times and have always love the story. I was in a historical mood when I saw that this and purchased it without a thought, knowing I would love it. After 23 minutes of listening to this awful narrator I went back to Audible and to the other Pride and Prejudice books and found a narrator that I enjoyed and purchased this book for a second time. This will teach me not to purchase a book without listening to the narrator sample first. It was like listing to someone run their nails up and down a chalkboard that had voice. Makes me cringe even now to think about it.
