Maddie McLendon hasn't had a new relationship since the loss of her beloved husband two years ago. Broken by grief and desperate for a new start, Maddie moves to Bitterroot Valley, Montana with her adult son and her grandson. But despite the natural beauty of her new town, not every change in her life is a welcome one. Maddie's new next-door neighbor, Sam Conacher, used to be a pillar of the community, but he has driven old friends and new acquaintances away due to a recent heartbreak of his own. He seems to intrude on her life at every turn.

Cara says: "Turned out very interest and exciting!"
    "Listen...you won't be sorry!"

The Christmas Room had it all. Laughter, tears, romance, fear and suspense. Susan Bennett's narration was absolutely delightful. One of the best I have listened to in a while. Wonderful story to get one into the holiday spirit.

Christmas is approaching on the island of Jersey, but Libby is feeling far from festive. Her police work and duties as vicar's wife weigh heavily on her, she's anxious about her troubled children, and now her best friend, Stella, has suddenly turned against her, citing a mysterious family grudge. Libby is devastated by Stella's unexpected coldness. But then her father shows her a diary written by her great-aunt Queenie, which sheds light on a long-hidden secret - one rooted in love, loyalty and betrayal.

The past meets the present with a little suspence and mystery. My whole family were glued to the kitchen table waiting to see what happened next.
