I was worried that I would be disappointed by this book since Kristin Hannah is not generally so dark. But she did not disappoint.
This book is wonderful! I have recommended it to anyone who asks for a good read. I loved the story and all of the characters.
I loved this book as much as I have loved all of Kristin Hannah's books I've read so far, but the narration left something to be desired.
When I started listening to this one I had to go back and say, "Wasn't it described as a laugh out loud book"? The beginning was so tragic. My heart ached for Cee Cee. Then she went to Savannah and the laughs begin, not all laughs, but a lot of them. Read by the narrator of The Help, Jenna Lamia has a wondeful voice for this southern settings. All of the rich charachters of the woman around Cee Cee also reminded me of the Help.
I loved this book. It was a who done it, a love story, a story of friendshop, families and of finding yourself. A book that left me sitting in the car in the driveway just so I didn't have to stop reading.
