I love this book. I'm a very big fan of Kevin Smith and am super upset that his other books are not available on Audible.
This book, like any of Smith's books is a look into his life which is so interesting and with him reading it it's like he's telling to all of these stories personally. Plus, he's hilarious which is the best part of any of his books!
Yes, I think it gives a lot of information on how the Mormon religion began and it also looks into how a fanatic of any belief could do something horrible in the name of religion.
I would recommend this series to a friend. I really love True Blood and these books are great to listen to when waiting for the show to air again. As they are on the last season now the books will be sure to keep me entertained.
She voices the characters really well. Everyone has a distinct voice and it makes the story that much better.
My three word summary would be Very Interesting History. These people worked for years and the stories they have are very interesting. I listened to this right after The Amityville Horror, a few questions I had after that book were cleared up. I don't know if I believe everything but the stories are very fun to listen to.
The reader was not slow or dull, he kept you interested in the story.
I feel like the film based on certain aspects of the book was already made and it was made well. The Conjuring was a really great horror film.
This book explains this very publicized trial from the inside. It is very interesting and I learned a lot.
I loved getting the whole story, The movies changed so much and the book is actually a lot scarier than the films. I really enjoyed it.
This was the First time I listened to a book by Ray Porter, and he reads very well.
It's actually one of if not my favorite book, so far! It wasn't expected to be either. I only bought it because I promised my little brother I'd read it. I didn't expect to love it so much but it soon became a book I didn't want to stop listening to.
One of the most memorable moments was when Katniss thought Peta was working against her. When she heard him with the other Tributes and didn't realize he was actually trying to help her win.
The way she tells the story makes you feel like you're there. It might've been the same if I'd read the book myself but I listened while driving and it kept me awake on a long trip.
I feel like the actual film tagline it pretty perfect. "May the odds be ever in your favor."
I would and have recommended this book to friends, I really enjoyed the humor and the truth in this book.
I would compare it to He's Just Not That Into You or Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. I was really sad to find that the latter is not available on Audible.
I like that the Harvey is the one reading the book. It is a story that he wrote from personal experiences so it plays like he's talking to you, telling you all about this and that. That's what kept me listening and laughing.
It's a lot of common sense that you tend to forget when you're dating, when you like someone, etc. The book makes you think about when you've messed up and what you've learned also it gives you something to look forward to.
Great book, I listened to it while getting ready and driving to work. The humor made me look forward to my day!
