I was low on credits and looking for something new. I tend to stick squarely to romance novels, and vampires, witches, and werewolves. Needless to say I was browsing free novellas and came across Cast in Moonlight. It was soon that I was hooked, it still was a fantasy and it dealt with a side of the supernatural I had yet to consider. I have now read every book in the series, and I am aching for more. What a good storyline. I feel like I know Kaylin I am empathic to her cause, and I still feel on the edge of my seat with each new book. It's such and interesting way to picture a fictional world, and what it would be like to have to deal with the day to day in a time an place unlike ours. The storyline is deep, and funny, giving way to a strong willed child and her life as see grows into a formidable women. Each new book builds on the last, however unlike most series of books, the ending doesn't leave you hanging. Michelle closes it up in such a way that you want more, but you also know that this portion of Kaylin life is complete.
Loved it. Hit closer to home for Eve and made it more suspenseful. was on the edge of my seat the last hour.
This book started out rough, Anna attitude is tough to handle at times, but about an hour into it, the book got a lot better. The story took off and I was hooked, it was just a rough start. Honestly though I am not sure how many more books they can continue to write in this series without really ruining the entire storyline.
This was not exactly a surprise but in the end it was, after the previous book I was not sure if Rachel was going to make it out alive, but she is resourceful.
Ok after listening the the first few books, and becoming accustomed to the first narrator, I thought I wasn't going to make it through the book with this narrator, honestly, couldn't see be able to pronounce the name of the main characters correctly. She totally ruined the book and I only finished because not finishing would have left too many gaps in the storyline and I would not have known what led up to the next book.
Some books are meant for print and others meant to be read aloud, this is not to be read aloud. It is not written in such a way that the narrator can bring life to the characters with making them look fake. I enjoy the author so I thought I would try to listen to the book instead of reading it, my mistake, I will only get these books in print going forward.
Its nice to laugh throughout a book, and to see things from a female perspective. This is read by one of my favorite narrators and written by a great author. The plot is not shallow, and if you read the series each book builds on the last. Its funny how everyone begins to come together as a family in this one. You will enjoy it, promise.
I was looking for a new series, I found this great book. I laughed throughout the entire book, it was really good. I cant wait to see what see writes next.
I loved the narrator, her voice was soothing, this book in general was based in a part of the world that I have never been, therefore my American nature did not allow me to truly appreciate much of the plot, word choice, and descriptions, its a shame, I really wanted to like this book.
Wow, I never thought I would enjoy a book about assassins but I tell you what the Spider is not a typical assassin and she will pull you into her web as well, and you might just agree with her methods. In a world were the weak are crushed by the power struggles of the rich and cruel its not so hard to understand why Gin is the way she is and how hard it is for her to ride the line.
This was a startling book, I admit I was shocked at how quickly I was pulled into this, Rachel is an author I will defiantly read again.
