"Egotistical, yet Loving"
Growing up in the 70's, I listened to Aerosmith's music, but never even knew the leader singer's name. It's only since Idol that I became curious about Steven Tyler. As a long standing member of a 12 step program, I have heard all the excuses for drug abuse, and this book is full of them. I enjoyed hearing about his climb to the top, but was sad that he hurt so many people along the way. It could have been a couple of hours shorter and the narrator's voice was grating, but overall I enjoyed it.
"Great!"
I enjoyed this story, even though it was very bizzarre. I fell in love with the Oly. What a refreshing break from the usual novel. The narrator was easy to listen to.
"Cinderella??"
I have been an AMC fan since the show started when I was 15, and have always admired Erica Cain. I couldn't wait to hear about Susan's life, but have been disappointed in the book. I don't think I can hear one more gushy story of how wonderful her life has been. Perfect husband, perfect children, perfect parents, perfect career. Makes me want to be sick...
"Enjoyed"
I usually listen while jogging, but it was so captivating towards the end, I had to keep going and finished the whole book. I loved the narrators ( I recognized Belle's voice from The Help). It was sad, but held my attention. I would have liked it to keep going and develop the relationship between Lavinia and Will.
"Loved it!!!"
I was really sad when this book ended. It was very entertaining and heart wrenching. My parents are in their 80's are facing nursing home life. It touched my heart...
