I know many have judged this book poorly, but it is the shortness of the book, not the lack of the writer that makes this book disappointing. Having read two others in the series just as short I was expecting the disappointment, but was still looking forward to the book. It was fast and I longed for more, but it is still wroth the $$ like all the book in this series.
I have to agree with others that the ending was not to my liking. I do not want to kill the ending for those who have not read it yet so I will not get into what it is that upset me, but I will say that by the last page I felt not as if the good guys had won but lost. It was very disheartening to listen to the ending. If you are like me and you start the series then it will not matter what anyone says and you will want to finish with the last book. YOU SHOULD, just be ready to boo the writer in the end.
I do enjoy Nora Roberts books, but I only gave this trilogy a 4 because the reader does not do as good of a job as she could have. She does get better as she goes on with the books, it seemed to take her some time to put the feeling into the words that they need. All in all though a very good trilogy and well worth the time.
As all ways J.D. Robb has been a good read, and the narrator does a great job in getting you to be able to see all the characters in full view.
