Lauren is downtown Chicago's youngest elite realtor. She's also a witch. She must be - the fetching spell for Witches' Chat isn't supposed to make mistakes. So says the woman who coded the spell, at least. The tall, dark, and handsome guy sent to assess her is a witch too (and no, that doesn't end the way you might think). What he finds in Lauren will change lives, mess with a perfectly good career, and require lots of ice cream therapy.

    Story
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I would not recommend this book to anyone.

What could Debora Geary have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

There is too much repetition in this book, and some of it isn't believable, even for a fiction book. The basis of the story would be good if I didn't feel like I was being sent to school to learn all about witchcraft.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The typewriter clicking noises is completely unnecessary. The narrator did what she could with the story, I suppose.

What character would you cut from A Modern Witch?

The child who is a 4 year old witch genius.

    Any additional comments?

I hesitated before buying this because of the mixed reviews. I am a big fan of books about supernatural topics, so I gave it a try. It just doesn't go anywhere and I never felt connected to any of the characters. Save your credit!
