All her life Melody Evans has wanted to marry a plain, average man who doesn’t take risks. But when the foreign embassy is taken over by terrorists and she’s rescued by a daring Navy SEAL, Melody blames the extreme circumstances for their ensuing passion. When it comes to ordinary, Harlan “Cowboy” Jones is anything but, and their encounter leaves Melody with a little more than just memories.

DB says: "Great Narrator, Loved the story"
    "So-so"
    Overall

I had trouble with Melody, the female main character. I just found her annoying and hard. If I was Harlan I would have left her after the first week. She's not very likeable.

Poised, calculating, and ruthlessly charming, Prince Rolfe of Ruthenia takes beautiful Angeline Fortin captive, mistaking her for her cousin and compromising her beyond redemption. Escape from the prince is impossible, and Rolfe begins to torment her senses at every turn. At last, captured and captivated, Angeline can't resist Rolfe's masterful seduction, and the prince discovers the only woman he's ever encountered who can meet him passion for passion. But Rolfe is on a mission to find his brother's killer, and in a critical moment of mortal danger, it's Angeline herself who holds his life - and heart - in her delicate hands.

Has Royal Seduction turned you off from other books in this genre?

I have read so many better books in this genre, I know I can find more.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Accents needed some work. The Scottish one especially.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    None I can think of.

    Any additional comments?

Women are raped over and over. Many scenes of chasing, fighting and men behaving badly, (how many bandits can one small group of people encounter?) Periods were the plot is not being moved along at all. I won't be reading more by this author. I started advancing the book by chapters just to get through it. After a while you just think, "enough already!". I didn't find this "romance" very romantic and didn't particularly care about any of the characters. The narrator wasn't horrible, but her accents need work. It's disappointing to me that Audible has offered a large group of books by this author, but has not completed other excellent series.

He has stolen her past, but MacKayla will never allow her sister's murderer to take her future. Yet even the uniquely gifted sidhe-seer is no match for the Lord Master, who has unleashed an insatiable sexual craving that consumes Mac's every thought - and thrusts her into the seductive realm of two very dangerous men, both of whom she desires but dares not trust.

    Karen says: "a little odd"
    "Ready for book 5"
    Overall

The series started out well, but in books 3 and 4 nothing much really happens. Until the end of the book that is, which just seems a set-up for the next one. However, having come this far and will read the final installment. Just hoping for more story line and looking forward to resolution. Of course, I will listen to almost anything read by Phil Gigante.
