Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up a bewitched alchemical manuscript in the course of her research. Descended from an old and distinguished line of witches, Diana wants nothing to do with sorcery; so after a furtive glance and a few notes, she banishes the book to the stacks. If you could sum up A Discovery of Witches in three words, what would they be?

    Awesome, Excellent, Wonderful

What other book might you compare A Discovery of Witches to and why?

The Davinci Code meets Twilight or Diane Gabebleon meets Twilight. I love the supernatural part. I love how strong Diana is becoming. Why the Davinci Code because you are following a line and it sttarting with a book and Diana does not know what she set in motion. This a must for anybody likes action, adventure, interlectual, and romance.

What does Jennifer Ikeda bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The characters are given a real voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, if I only had the time.
