The Silence of the Lambs is an instant classic of chilling psychological suspense. From the tormenting words of homicidal maniac Hannibal Lecter and the flesh-rending depravity of an elusive killer to the sheer courage of a young FBI novice who risks her life to track him down and stop the bloodshed, this critically acclaimed audio production, narrated by Kathy Bates, has an unforgettable intensity.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Silence of the Lambs to be better than the print version?

I really did enjoy this one, it is a lot like the movie. I've never read the whole thing so I can''t say one version is better than the other. I love the way Kathy Bates read it, she really gets into the characters.

What about Kathy Bates’s performance did you like?

She gives each of the charaters a different voice so it's easy to listen to.

For 56 years, the Black Dahlia murder case remained one of the most notorious and high-profile unsolved crimes of the 20th century. Now, Steve Hodel, a 24-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, believes he has finally solved the case. On January 15, 1947, 22-year-old Elizabeth Short - "The Black Dahlia" - was found dead in a vacant lot in Los Angeles, her body horribly mutilated, bisected at the waist, and posed in a bizarre manner.

What made the experience of listening to Black Dahlia Avenger the most enjoyable?

The story, there are times when it seems to drag on and I found myself wondering why he was telling us this but in the end it all ties together.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

    The story

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did shed a tear for Elizabeth when he talks about what her killers put her through

    Any additional comments?

I believe Steve Hodel, with all the evidence presented I think his dad did kill her

  • Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde

With dramatic flair, Jeff Guinn delivers the definitive portrait of Bonnie and Clyde. These media-savvy outlaws appealed to America's Depression-era hunger for swashbuckling characters. Glowing radio and newspaper reports transformed these "public enemies" into celebrities - much like the cinema gangsters of the time.

What aspect of Jonathan Hogan’s performance would you have changed?

He does from time to time seem to have spit build up in his mouth that is sorta distracting

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

This is the first Bonnie and Clyde book I've ever read and I found it pretty interesting. There was a lot of stuff that I didn't know.

    Any additional comments?

Good book, the others who made comments about the narrator were correct however it didn't really bother me, I still enjoyed the book.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I really wish I could get my credit back for this one. The story focuses more on the main character then it does the murder she is supposed to be solving. In all I would say 4 chapters are dedicated to her focusing on the murder and the rest are about if she should relent to her boyfriends pushing to move in, etc. Out of a 10+ hours book, that's not good. The narration was fine to me but the story was terrible.

What could J.A. Jance have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Focus more on the mystery and solving the murder than the main characters personal life.

What about Yancy Butler’s performance did you like?

Her voice and the way she reads.

Would you consider the audio edition of It to be better than the print version?

I would really rate the movie ahead of this in a lot of ways. Mostly because there are no unnecessary sex scenes in the movie like there is in this. Yes there is a sec scene between the kids that really shouldn't be in there. However it is really cool to hear all the back story about Dery and find out all the things that IT did over the centuries.

What did you like best about this story?

    The back story.

Which character – as performed by Steven Weber – was your favorite?

    All of them.
