"Beautiful Story"
I saw the movie before I listened to the book and thought I might be disappointed in the book. I was not. The book was beautiful and the performance was great.
"Wonderful story."
As a nurse who has cared for patients with Alzheimer's Disease, I have wondered what might go on inside their minds as they slip away. This story followed very true to what is known with AD and followed with some of my own experiences. It also showed what I have seen with some AD patients who are past the point of knowing who they are or where they are; that they are still able to have pleasure and a quality of life, even if it is not what their earlier self would have wanted.
The author does a good job of reading her story although I usually prefer a narrator who is able to perform with different voices and Lisa was not able to do this.
