It’s not even a clue. It’s a whisper, a trace, a ghost echo, drifting down through the decades via chance connections so fragile that they would disintegrate in the puff of a breath. But it’s enough to get legendary former Marine sniper Bob Lee Swagger interested in the events of November 22, 1963, and the third bullet that so decisively ended the life of John F. Kennedy and set the stage for one of the most enduring controversies of our time. Swagger begins his slow night stalk through a much-traveled landscape. But he’s asking questions that few have asked before....

I have always thought there was something more, and this angle is as plausible as any- LHO wasn't that skilled- story was well thought out, and performed. I enjoyed it.

Jodi Picoult delivers the riveting tale of one small town's entanglement with high-school violence.

New York Superior Court Judge Alex Cormier is assigned to preside over the case of the alleged Sterling High School shooter. Lawyer Jordan McAffee represents Peter, the boy who, on the day of the shooting, was found in the corner of the gymnasium holding a gun to his head with a shaky hand. Detective Patrick DuCharme has one star witness, but her story keeps changing. And then there's the biggest problem of all: the star witness happens to be Judge Cormier's daughter.

Very well done-makes one feel a little sympathy for the kid, but doesn't condone his actions. Many of us, whether pro, or anti-gun, sometimes unknowingly, contribute to the issue, either positively or negatively

Enjoyed story overall, could relate characters to TV show, but I just couldn't get past narrator-seemed as if on long sentences, he ran out of air- I won't buy another with this reader. Sorry
