Great idea, Really enjoyed the reading of it. But we never found out anything about her children, how they were and ultimately Maudie never changed. All of the experiences should have done something to her, otherwise whats the point. Disappointed in the end of it. Could have been so much better and meant something.

Daughter of a cold, controlling mother and an anonymous donor, studious, obedient Elizabeth finally let loose one night, drinking too much at a nightclub and allowing a strange man’s seductive Russian accent to lure her to a house on Lake Shore Drive. The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman now known as Abigail Lowery lives alone on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she works at home designing sophisticated security systems.

The Witness is another superb novel by Nora Roberts. I thoroughly enjoyed the two lead characters, especially the perserverance of her male suiter. Nothing plastic about him. The story was original and the issue it presented for our herione was very cleverly dealt with. I really enjoyed this book.

    Story

this is a wonderful story covering three generations. It is complex and full of surprises, not difficult to read and absorb. It will keep you interested right to the end.
The main characters are all well drawn and the relationships unfold slowly but surely.
    a great read.
