To connect with today's buyer, you need to stop pushing your message out and start pulling your customers in. The rules of marketing have changed and the key to winning is to use this change to your advantage. If you've wondered how to get found in Google or why blogs and social media sites like Facebook and Twitter are important, Inbound Marketing is the audiobook for you.

The ideas in this book hits all the buzzwords today- social networking, google, blogs, etc and explains how to use these things to enhance your business. These ideas aren't new, but I guess it's somewhat useful to have summarized. The book also directs you to some online tools which are run by the author's companies, making me think this book was in part just a big commercial for their services.

Thousands of autonomous computer programs, or daemons, make our networked world possible, running constantly in the background of our lives, trafficking e-mail, transferring money, and monitoring power grids. For the most part, daemons are benign, but the same can't always be said for the people who design them.

Best audiobook I've heard to date, with fantastic narration and gripping story. The technical details were right on and plausible. Occasionally the story slipped into cliche but overall a very enjoyable experience and left me wanting more. Fortunately there's a sequel!

In a book that's one part prophecy, one part thought experiment, one part manifesto, and one part survival manual, internet impresario and blogging pioneer Jeff Jarvis reverse-engineers Google, the fastest-growing company in history, to discover 40 clear and straightforward rules to manage and live by.

This book was extremely interesting, making me think how the internet, social networking, and google might be turning inside-out many of the institutions we live with. This isn't just a book about google, it's about how you can apply the analytic, simplifying approach of that company to any industry or business. Some of these changes are scary but I'm trying to keep an open mind and hope society can benefit. I also enjoyed the author's narration.
