Seth Weinstein knew Tina was way out of his league in pretty much any way you could imagine, which is why it continued to astonish him that he was on the plane now for their destination wedding in Florida. The Groom Posse had already sprung an airport prank on him, and he'd survived it, and if that was the worst of it, everything should be okay. Smooth sailing from now on. Seth has absolutely no idea what he's about to get into.

What would have made Insane City better?

Way too much profanity for this ole' girl!!!!

Would you ever listen to anything by Dave Barry again?

Maybe not, if all of his books are like this one.

What aspect of Dave Barry and The Gza ’s performance would you have changed?

Less profanity and inappropriate content. Dirty talk.

What character would you cut from Insane City?

    The entire groom group.

    Any additional comments?

I have read Dave Berry's work in Readers' Digest. I had no idea he wrote any other way.

As a sniper with the elite Massachusetts State Police SWAT Team, Bobby Dodge saved a woman and her young son by shooting her armed husband. But vicious rumors begin to circulate the next morning when Bobby loses his gun and his privileges. It turns out the dead man was the son of a prominent Boston judge and had accused his wife of poisoning their son.

The description of this book made me want to listen to it. The narrator, however, had such a boring and monotone voice I only listened for about half an hour. Sorry, but I can't get caught up in a book if the reader doesn't sound interested.

When John Sutter's aristocratic wife killed her mafia don lover, John left America and set out in his sailboat on a three-year journey around the world, eventually settling in London. Now, 10 years later, he has come home to the Gold Coast, that stretch of land on the North Shore of Long Island that once held the greatest concentration of wealth and power in America, to attend the imminent funeral of an old family servant.

James B says: "Brilliant Conclusion to Gold Coast"

I was so disappointed by this book. I have read several of Nelson DeMille's books and I know he is good. If this had been the first one I read, it would be the last! I kept waiting for a plot, so I didn't just turn it off, but there never seemed to be one. It was really very boring!

When Chaz Perron's wife discovers that he is running a scam (posing as a marine biologist to doctor water samples so that an agribusiness tycoon can continue illegally dumping fertilizer into the Everglades), he pushes her overboard from a cruise liner. Unlucky for Chaz, Joey survives clutching a bale of Jamaican pot. Rescued from the Atlantic by a former police officer, Mick Stranahan, she decides not to report him but instead haunt and taunt him, with Mick's help, by playing dead.

I have read several of Carl Hiaasen's books, and this one is definitely the best yet. The guy is hilarious! I recommend it highly!!!
