"Love book #2 about as much as book #1!!!!"
I loved that Eve finally got to just be a teenage girl for once in her life. Also the narrator does an amazing job!!!
WOW just 1? I guess that would have to be meeting Lends mother.
I was very funny at times, the banter between Eve and the female vampire (forgive me I forgot her name) was quite comical. I cant say that this book made me cry. I don't believe that was the intention of the author.
"No near as great as the other 2 book for me."
While I am a huge fan of this series I have to say I was not impressed at all by this book. It just seemed to me White wasn't allowing Eve to grow up. In the 1st book (and even understandably the 2nd) Eve was very ignorant of the supernatural world, and even embraced this ignorance so much as to depend on Lends father to handle any trouble. I could agree with this early Eve, but I did expect a more knowledgeable Eve in this book (after all that has happened) I do understand it has only been a year (in the books) but I just couldn't get behind the idea that Eve would stay so immature and ignorant to her world as she apparently does in the 3rd book. Her constant whining and tantrums kind of get annoying in this book.
Aside from that I will say I fell in love with all the other characters in this book!!! Even with Eve still love sick and extremely self centered I recommend reading this book to complete the series. You will fall in love with the other characters and the story is a really well thought out and written one. Even tho I didn't rate this book as well as the other 2, the series itself rates in my top 10 favorite series.
"LOVE THIS BOOK!!!"
I loved this book starting with the narration all the way threw. It was quite easy to imagine Eve talking like the narrator. This book also had a new feel to it (as opposed to other paranormal books). While it did have all the same character types (ie, vampires, faeries werewolves etc..) I love the whole new way White really rewrote and redefined these characters!!!
A fresh new definition of the paranormal.
This is a wonderful read and an enjoyable one for anyone!!!!!!!!!
"It was not as exciting as other Odd books"
The most interesting aspect is that in this book the story takes place over a small matter of days. This was also the least interesting because it caused the story to feel rushed. Other Odd books where more enjoyable because you could tell Koontz really wanted to get you fully immersed in the story, this one just seemed like he just wanted to pen a fourth book quickly. (Which I know sounds weird because of how long its been since his last Odd book)
I hated the narration of this story. I listened to this on my Ipod (ear buds set inside the ear) and no matter how I played with the volume the strong "S" in the narrators speech made me cringe. This also seemed to be the case when I play it on my speakers. I could only listen to a couple of chapters at a time because of this.
yes, but unfortunately I could not due to the narrators hissing annoyingly when reading a word with the letter "S".
My advise is to buy this book and read it yourself.
